Hi, there:

I'm a new comer to this forum. Here is my question:

Any comments on raqueckets ISO 80 VF SLIM(2UG3) and ISO 62 MF 3UG3?
Also what do you say about Black Knight VTF22.

I do not see any info about these raqueckets in review of this web.

Thanks
Frank:confused:

I've tried the Yonex Iso 62MF Light before. The balance is pretty even, and the shaft has quite a bit of flex. This setup makes the racquet pretty easy to wield, especially for a less advanced player. I'd whole-heartedly recommended it for a new or intermediate player who is looking for a good, basic racquet. One gripe I have with the Iso 62MF is that the factory strings suck! If you're a beginner, it wouldn't matter very much. But when your game is starting to pick up, you'd probably want to replace them with something decent.

Thanks for your response. By the way, what type do you recommend for the string if I'm just picking up and need more power of smash?

If u plan to buy it in US (sorry, don't know ur location), I think the best bet is www.badminton.net. They seem offer Ashway Rally 21 Micro as default strings (better call to confirm). This is way better than most other "factory default" ones.

However, if u living in another nation, maybe u have to contact ur dealer and make a comparison including price, feature, availability.

I'm living in Vancouver, and know where to buy it but not sure what kind of string in terms of thickness and brand. Someone recommends PG80 or so.

U mean "Yonex BG80", right?

If u can get for really cheap price (sorry, don't know the range in CAD), it should be good. However, to me, BG80 is way too good for a racket like ISO 62 or 80. If the racket is around CAD$50, but the string + labor is way more than 25, I don't see too much logic.

There are many members here from Van area, maybe they can provide u more info on stores. U can also use the "search" function, see if u can find any old threads regarding to store list in Van.

I was at ClearOne (3 Road, kind of beside SuperStore --> see the ClearOne thread for its location) last night, and they were charging $18 for BG-65 and $21 for BG-70Pro. This already includes the string and labour. I've never tried their stringing service though, so I can't comment on how good/bad their stringer is.

Tad's Sports has done 2 of my racquets, and I'm very happy with their service. The tension with my BG-80 have been holding up pretty well. If I remember correctly, that was $25 including taxes and everything else.

You could also try Abby Sports.
