View Full Version : Feedback of ARMORTECH700
krnkpboy 07-15-2003, 02:30 PM Post feedbacks of armortech 700 if you used it
I got mine about a week ago from japan and i bought bg65 power and strung at 24 pound 3u. At first the whipping affect got my timing lil bit late but once i got used to it.. it was awesome... especially if you are a wrist player dis racket will get you more power
It is pretty heavy but unless you have weak arm you wont really feel the difference between at and mp100. This racket is bad for like emergency clears... as in .. gets over you head and yhou have to hit it behind you.... cause of the whipping affect...the bird will go hella high.. and to the middle so ur opponent smash at your face
I own armortech 700JP(3u) mp100(3u[sp],2u) mp99(3u) Ti-10(2u) Ti-8(3u,2u[sp])
I love ti8 It is THE best racket ... to bad they dont make it anymore...
Id say... armortech is a singles er mix racket.. for guyz
Ti-8 best racket for any type of play
LazyBuddy 07-15-2003, 03:30 PM Good review, especially on "special cases".
If u r looking for more reviews, maybe do using the "search" function and I am sure u can find some other threads talking about various experience on AT700.

Best for you might not best for other people.
Pointfore.Ca 07-17-2003, 09:38 AM How is the durability on the new Armortech models anyhow? My friend bought an Armortech 500 a couple weeks ago, and then it broke one week after! It was a racquet clash, but it wasn't that bad... Aren't these supposed to be stronger than the MPs?
krnkpboy 07-17-2003, 10:20 AM racket clash = bye bye racket. either now.. er latr but.. will break
durability seems hella good.. i hit the ground couple times pretty hard didnt break

I know who your talking about. His name starts with an "A" rite? Well his racquet not only broke in a week, but it was like his 2nd game!!...
I think he strung it at 25lbs if I can remember.
cooler 07-17-2003, 11:30 AM remember that how the racquet was strung can enhance or degrade the strength of the frame.

Hahaha, yes, his name starts with an "A".
He was so happy when he got his racquet and then so unhappy when it was broken... I guess having it strung at 25 lbs didn't really help either... :p
Well, i used an AT: 700 and i didn't like it that much. Its really personal preference and your style of play, not the cost of the racket that'll improve your game. For me, head light and balanced rackets all the way.
My99broke 07-20-2003, 12:23 AM Very good racquet
3u
g3
28lbs
is that too much tension? I asked for 25 but he gave me 28 for no apparent reason? If its too much then would it be reasonable for me to ask the stringer to restring it at 25? ive had it for about 3-4 days.
In my opinion:
Seeing as i've been playing with a mp99 balanced racquet, i thought it would take a lot of time to get used to this really head heavy racquet. But it didnt and i find i get more power in all my smashes and clears. The net play isnt all too bad either. The only thing im afraid of is that ill break it in whatever reason, for some reason it looks really fragile to me.
mp99broke, i think the stringer hates you for having the latest racket :D hahahaa he wants you to break it.
Oranjmaan 07-22-2003, 08:44 PM Ugh, saw one at my club today, personally i find the colors and fonts on both 500 and 700 rather ugly. Felt good tho, but i highly doubt that it's too revolutionary, and i'll be sticking with mp 55 for now.
legal strike 07-24-2003, 04:45 AM tell me i'm wrong that AT700 cost almost $500 in sing$
swijaya0101 07-24-2003, 05:04 AM legal ...
you are not wrong ... you are 100% correct !!! ... the retail price is around S$549
you can get around S$300-400 from yonex distributor when you take more qtys.
but it's still too expensive and is not worth it ... wait for 2-3 months ... surely the price will drop significantly

You know, those prices are EXTREMELY crazy. Might as well get 2-3 Japan models instead!!
