Hi there,

I play 2-3 times a week during badminton season here and I am starting to use my SOTX Woven 4A. I'm not living in China currently, but I have some questions regarding badminton club-play there.

1. How many badminton-specialized clubs are in Shanghai?

2. How many badminton (recreational, club, elite) players are in Shanghai?

3. Do you know the URL of homepage website of Hunan Province or Changsha City badminton (if they have one)? I am looking for a section on "places to play in Chang Sha".

Thanks.

1. I think the only badminton-specialized club is Shanghai badminton team.
2. A lot of.
3. I don't know. I can ask our friends if they know.

Please let us know as much information as possible for the Shanghai Team! Or even if they have a website? Do they take any foreign players to train with their team during the summer? Thx in advance!

If you can read Chinese, you may find lots of links of amateur badminton clubs in anywhere in China from the following websites:

www.bbeshop.com
Chinabadminton.com

Actually, they may have English version now, but the contents may not be the same.

Heyy,

I am Chinese too. Though I like in the UK. :)
Seeing the Championships on Sat... lucky me I guess! ;)

I play 6 hours a week and I am lucky enough to play a game with one of the England female team coaches because I live close to the England National badm Training Centre.

I use an MP-77 2003 version which is really light :(

Me Chinese but am born and raised in England - making me a British Born Chinese. :)

I can play up to 3/4 times a week but living expenses in London is so expensive that I only play 1/2 times a week. :(

I have a Ti SP. THEY RULE!!

I'm a British Mainland Chinese as well :). My uncle lives in ShenZhen, I've been there many times and I have to say it's one of my favourite places in China.

That would be great, I don't go to China much though, since it's very expensive and I don't often get the chance.

I hope you remember me next time I'm in China ;)

Hello, everyone! I'm a college student in Guangzhou, senior three now. i play badminton about 3~4 times a week. i mainly play in outdoor courts in our school coz indoor courts are always extraordinarily expensive during the weekend when we have time.

Great changes have taken places in Guangzhou. After its successful bid last year for 2010 Asian Games, the government increases its budget in sports facilities. Badminton is more and more popular here, more and more badminton games are held here, both domestic and international.:) :) world no.1 players such as XIE Xingfang, ZHANG Jiewen````

it's said that the authority would put badminton on the list of Guangzhou's City sports item.

Next time when u come to China, be sure not to miss all the great changes:D ~~

Yeap, there is a new highway that goes over the city centre to relieve the conjestion and a new airport too. But the city is still very filthy.

True, but it wasn't as bad as I last remembered it ;). It has subways now and everything... as for the pollution and all, well what can you expect from such a populated city? ... :p
