I've seen a thread similar to this one..however, i would like an update.

Well, exploring the range of professional badminton players out there.. which current players use the AT-700 as their "main" racket. A previous thread listed a few names, however that was when the armortec was just released to them..perhaps that could have changed and i was wondering what changes there are.

Another thing..realizing the mp99 is now an "older" (shall i call it) model (compared to the Armortec series and other mp versions. I don't have quite the knowledge of all the players out there in the world but i'm wondering if there's still quite a "large" amount of players that use the mp99.

And if possible, could u give me an approximation, ratio of the yonex sponsored players that use the armortec to the mp 99 (ex. 2 to 1 ratio, etc etc.)

better to ask yonex.
We regular folks only know after seeing some pics from the last tournament.

i agree, and since armortec series are Yonex latest model they would urge more proffestional players to use them to promote sales on their new product...

we have no idea. there has been little exposure in the international scene since April due to many tournament postponed as a result of SARS.

that was around the time when the AT700 came out. as mentioned, Yonex would've love to see more international players using the Armortec's as there are many who always follow the trend. but i think as professionals, many still prefers what suits them. that's why we are still seeing many pros using old models like the cab20, Iso800, etc.

we will soon see how many players have switched to AT700 next week during the World Championships.

Apart from not knowing what lyk stands for.

I don't think yonex will paint other rackets with armortech just to make consumers believe that the players are actually using armortech even if they are after the money.

Which racket company is setup without the intention of generating profit?
It's just a matter of which is generating more.

well you see. ... there's a thread that was about this.. painting crap.. and its true... they are trying to advertise armortech ... I don't think rate of people buying other rackets higher than buying armortech
Sponsors make rackets for them.. how they like it.. so if they want lets say mp100 but yonex wants to sell more armortech they'll paint over what players needed

I think I've missed the thread about the paint jobs, but is that just a rumour or there is ppl that can actually verified that the incident actually happened about paint jobs?

I will be really shocked if it's true.

Painting the Pro's Rackets (http://www.badmintonforum.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9702&highlight=Painting+Pro+Rackets)
Till date, we can't verify whether anyone in badminton is doing that but tennis pros do that!
