I'm considering taking a vacation in Tokyo sometime soon. However, I
can't read Japanese and the information in the link above doesn't make
much sense after coming out of babelfish translation. Does anyone else
know about any drop-in places in Tokyo of at least intermediate level?
Please feel free to reply here or PM me. Thanks.

Hi Miyuki,
I'm Donny from S'pore and have just moved to Tokyo since last April because of my work. Will be staying here for another 2 years at least. I'm currently playing badminton in Oji almost every weekends but it is too far for me. May I know whether the school of your club is called 中原中学校 in Japanese? Is it located in Ikebukuro? I'm staying in Nishiazabu but since I drive, it is ok. Will your club be open this coming Saturday and Sunday (18 & 19 Mar)? Can I join? Hear from you soon

Hi Guys,
I'll be going on a business trip to Tokyo and stay there for the whole July. I'm sure I'll be missing the badminton playing time in my local club in central New Jersey, US, but wondering if there is a place to play badminton in Tokyo near CHIYODA-KU or Akasaka, where I'll stay in Tokyo. My level is upper level. Much appreciated if you reply me quickly so that I can decide whether or not I should bring my racket and shoes with me on the trip.
Thanks

Hi guys,
I'm visiting Tokyo from 8/30 to 9/10 and now looking for places and pal to play badminton. When I visited last January, I enjoyed playing in bad80 club. So this place is already on my list. I'm still looking for places where I can play on weekdays. I usually play 3 times a week in NY. My level is lower advanced. Any info would be appreciated! :D

Hi Miyuki san,
I am an adult business person from Canada, and will be in Tokyo during the next two weeks, August 22 to September 5. I am interested in playing badminton during this time. I am an intermediate player, have played for four years, and would like to play some games.
I will be in the Shibuya / Shinjuku area. Are there any places close by that I can play some games?
Sorry, I do not know any Japanese.
Thank you!

Hey Cherry P,
I had a tough time finding a place to play. Here are few pointers for you. Check which "ku" or ward your residential address falls under. Usually, there will be a website for each ward office where you can find some recreational details. That is the best option and it is easy to get into the sports club of your ward coz they may request for proof of address.
Usually, people in any club are very polite and welcoming, so it should be difficult to get into a group and play.
Cheers !!

Hello there. I'm, Filipino and just moved in Tokyo last 1 November. I've played badminton as a hobby in Manila for the last 5 years and would like to continue here. There are plenty of warehouse-type badminton gyms in Manila, so it's fairly easy to find places to play.
I live in the Toyosu area and work around Kojimachi area. Is there are group that plays nearby? I would love to meet other players and play at least 2x a week.
Thanks!

I'm currently planning my trip to Japan (going in may, staying for a whole month)
Still deciding whether I will be playing badminton or not
I will most likely stay somewhere near Shinjuku station
If I do bring my badminton stuff with me, I'm looking to play at least three times (once a week)
Any good recommendations?
oh Miyuki, I just requested to join the facebook group: my name is Brian Leung

Hello everyone,
I've recently arrived in Japan and would like to start playing badminton again. Is there a group around Yokohama which plays regularly on weekends?
My level is intermediate.

I heard they play in Kinshicho at night on Tuesday, in Tamachi on Sat or Sun in the afternoon.
My place is Kawasaki, so bit far from your places.
Enjoy to play in Japan

Hello-
I am not sure the regular members for both.
You can ask them in the facebook group if they play.
If you want to play, you can invite them on the group^^
Almost members on the group are non-Japanese. If they have time, they will join the session.

Hi, I am currently a year abroad student at a university in Tokyo. I haven't played badminton in 6 months now and I am dying to play! I have played for around 3-4 years. Looking for some people to play with until I head back home in August. I live in Kasai but am willing to travel to play. I know many people have asked the same questions but the post has been here for lots of years so it might not be relevant still.
I speak English and a little Japanese, hopefully not a problem.
If anyone could tell me where a good place to go is , I would be very grateful,
Cadan
