I recently bought a Ti-5 from ebay. The person i bought it from seems he knows what hes doing, good sell history and i guess hes taking care of the e-trading for his company. Anyway, im not too sure on stringing tensions, so i said 20 lbs, he says he could do it, but it would be too tight, and he sudjgested 17 lbs. Im pretty familiar that the tighter the string is the more power it adds, and vice versa. I then asked my friend that uses the same racquet and been playing for 4 or 5 years now what is a good string tension for the Ti-5 he said around 18-20 is fine. So im pretty mixed up, I was wondering if any of you guys can help me out with this, thank you.

20LB tension is by no means high for a badminton racquet. The carlton kevlar Hi-T racquet can take 30lb...Peter Gade uses a slim10 string at 31-33lb. slim10 is notoriously known for being fragile, such a fragile racquet can take that tension...so obviously, the ti5 can take 20lb NO problem

I wouldn't recommend such a low tension for the Ti-5 though. Try getting it strung at 23-25lbs and make use of its power.

it depends on you!! I think the guy recommended you 17 lbs because he wants your racket has a longer life. that's right, Peter Gade strung his racket with 30+ lbs, but he has sponsor, do you? like me, I can't affort such expensive racquets, so I strung them with low tension like my Cab 20 tour, 18lbs; Cab 22, 20lbs, Ti-7, 20 lbs, AB1000, 22lbs. I know many people like strung their rackets with high tension that are not supposed to, for more powerful in off. and def. I think it's wrong! I would improve myself physically first in order to do so. giving more exercises to your wrist and arm is better than buying a MP100.
