My Grandpa used to string badminton racquets by hand. Has anyone ever tried this and would it still be possible to use a hand strung racquet today?

Stringing by hand?! Without machine support? Well, it's not possible if you're stringing at medium to high tension (18lbs- 28lbs). Your grandpa probably strung wooden racquets at very low tension (8lbs- 14lbs??) in his times... which was ok with the technology of his time, but not now. At least not with the playing style, technology and demand consistent with today's players.

I was amazed when the 1st time I was told by another member that he used to string racket by hand in his early ages. He did not go into very detail, but told me the process was tiring and can't get into accurate range easily.
