I would not risk my rackets. After loosing over 10+ rackets in my first 5 years of playing, I do not relish breaking anymore.
Normally I would just let the birdie land without going for it...
As for clashes, I was whacked on the head once by my partner...the pain caused me to black out for a couple of seconds!

No offence, but what do you mean by this thread? No way what? No more breaking of racquets? Your partner must have been real strong. :eek:

None taken. I guess I meant that I will not risk breaking rackets by clashing them with my partner while going for an iffy shuttle.
As for the clash, my partner went for a deep forehand corner clearance (same corner I was rushing to..) and hit my head with his carbonex 8...
End result....his frame was out of shape while I had a really painful head
