This may make it more complicated or i might just be slow. Its about the Candra/Tony split up.
I remember that Candra/Tony were a very strong pair. Now that they put them back with their original partners, they have 2 strong pairs. But wern't then Sigit/Halim combination also a good pair as well?
Whats the point in all this?
I think I said this before but no harm repeating myself... =)
Well, at least to my slightly demented mind, Candra/Tony was a temporary pairing (albeit a VERY STRONG one and one of my favs) after Sigit got his drug ban. But the original pairings, ie. Candra/Sigit and Tony/Halim can be even stronger in the eyes of the PBSI. I mean, they must have been paired this way for a reason. It just so happened that Candra could play with Tony after his first split, that's all.
As for Sigit and Halim, someone mentioned on another forum that they were technically incompatible. I stated before that I was in no position to comment on this and I still am not. But one thing I noticed is that Tony seems to be playing a lot harder with Halim. I remember doing a comparison on his performance during the Olympic finals and the AE finals. He certainly appeared to be a stronger player with Halim, whereas in Sydney, it seemed like he was just providing openings for Candra (Pebulutangkis made this pt).
That's my two rupiah worth.
Sigit has been back in the scene for what, at least a year now? Halim and he never produced any good result. i am sure they are a good pair, but they may not be strong enough to be top of the world.
now that they split up Tony and Candra, INA instantly has two strong pair instead of 1 strong and 1 ok one. they already bagged the AE and JOpen. one each.
it is a pity to see that Tony and Candra split up. but i believe the INA coaches did the best thing for the team.
i love to see candra and sigit together......

u see, when it was tony/candra, flandy/eng hian, sigit/halim there is rarely an all indonesian final.(probably only indonesia open) but now u saw the AE, all indo final, and japan open, it was close to it, juz tony/halim had bad luck. this combination is clearly better, and the new pairs will get to top 10 very soon, maybe after world champs.
maybe i like the way candra/sigit play, the style,i like it

I think they can get into the top ten before the world champs
