Hi everyone!

I was looking in the forum and I read that some people were measuring their racquet balance point.

If I remember right, a balance point closer to the shaft define a light head racquet and a balance point closer to the other end define a head heavy racquet.

I was curious so I tried to find my MP-55 balance point. I put the shaft of my racquet on my finger and tried to find where the racquet would stabilize.

I was surprised to see that my Mp-55 balance point was 312 mm!!!!

Some people measured their Ti-10 Balance point and the average was around 290mm. Isn`t Ti-10 supposed to be super duper head heavy?

My mp-55 came with a g2 grip and it was way to big for me so I shaved the wood and put a very thin Wilson grip. My grip is actually around g5 or hmm, maybe smaller than that.

Can shaving the handle increase head heaviness by that much? Or maybe I just measured the balance point the wrong way? Or maybe Yonex make racquet with very different balance point?

mp55 is very very head heavy... feels like a hammer. Btw, balance should be measured without string.

280mm or less is head light
280-290 is balanced
290+ is head heavy

in general.

Both changing the grip and adding string onto your racket make the racket more head heavy.

I say, add the string make it to shift 5mm+ and grip change would shift another 5mm+.
