hey, well i just don't like my fleet racquet which replaced my broken mp33. anyways, i just got some cash, and am looking for a new racquet. my eye is set on another mp33 or else an at500. from the previous threads, i read at500 is quite evenly balanced like the mp33, but i would like to know about the durability and for the owners of at500 if you could tell me if you like it or not.
o ya...i already checked the reviews and the previous threads and it doesnt tell me much and well the review has 1 which isnt very specific either.
help would be preciated
p.s. please state weight/grip size
thanx

AT 500 3U G4
balance point: 303mm with string and overgrip
I would consider this to be head heavy. I just switched from a racquet with a balance point of 284mm about a week ago. Still trying to get used to the feel. The head heaviness definately adds more power but I have lost the touch but am getting close to regaining my touch. Overall, I think this is a great racquet. It feels better than my MP100 2U.

Drops were difficult when I first switched but it's much better once you get used to the heavier head feel.

Usually, u can find the balance point from spec (catalog, manufacture site, dealer site, etc). Also, balance point will change, depend on ur string and grip etc.

i got to try my friend's AT500 out the other day and comparing it with my AT700 4u, i would say that it was heavier, shorter in length and handled quite differently to my AT700 or my Iso Ti SS.
hope this helps.

Balance point is with strings and no overgrip. It doesn't specify 2U/3U/4U but if you take the weight and subtract about 5 grams for the strings you can pretty much safely guess what U it is. Numbers may differ though because my AT 500 with strings and no overgrip came out to 314mm which is quite significant to their 307mm. They also give the stiffness as well.
Balance point for MP33 3U is 297mm and is the stiffest of all the listed Yonex.
