Strings In Canada

Does anybody know how come strings in Canada Cost ALOT more then other countries i know? ie:
BG-65 In In Canada is CND$14.99
BG-65 In the States is USD$3.50 (thats what the Website says)

Why? why is there Such a BIG difference???

$14.99 usually includes the stringing done on the racquet.
$150 for a roll of bg65 at brownssports.com
Maybe you get 20 string jobs done with that ? So then $7.50 each.

No it's like 10-14 for string and 10 for labour.

I got my racket strung with Yonex BG-65ti and it cost me $25 including tax.

and I really don't think that the Labour down in the stats will cost $20

Cost of strings here is EXPENSIVE... unless u get it directly from Yonex CA (through sponsorship) or from other countries
because the demand is not as high (and prolly also to the high tax cost) so if you're looking for cheap string... Good luck if u can find anything under $10/pack

it isnt that hard.. i got a pack of bg65-ti for 5 bucks today after buying a raquet from a dude on this site *HINT HINT*. and im in canada

Which site is that? Most price quote I got in US for BG65 is US$5. :D

The cost of strings in Canada is so high because there is hardly any competition. Therefore the mark-up on the strings is made by all of the sporting good stores and such. It still would cost them very little to bring in the string, so they can make quite a killing on stringing. It is quite worth getting string internationally.

From personal experience, a decent string with stringing job should be definitely less than $20 CDN, with the exception of some strings of course. I believe the local SportChek charges $25 CDN for stringing with BG-65.
