We are new to the scene. We are going to take Badminton to the next level.

“And how on Earth do your people know who Jane Crabtree and Tania Luiz are?”

For teams we need a player from the five regions out of the ten players we take 5 women and 5 men. We are working out the kinks right now. But wait till next season!

The T&U championship wraps up the season for a fantasy badminton league that I ran (here is the site for the league www.geocities.com/badassminton/1). It was really fun and very successfull.

Now I'm preparing to start a second season and I was wondering if you would be interested in having a team. I was thinking about getting 10-12 "owners" some from badmintoncentral for a league.

There would be no cost to participate - it is just for the competition and also to make the tournaments more interesting.

The league works like this. There would be a 25 tournament season starting in late June to December. Teams get points based on the performance of their players (1 point for a win, 1 point bonus for a white wash and bonus points for winning tournaments).

Roster sizes would be 12 (3 mens singles, 3 womens singles, 2 mixed doubles, 2 womens doubles, 2 mens doubles). Another requirement is that each team must have at least 1 single for Asia, 1 from Europe, and 1 from the rest of the world (Oceania, Americas, Africa), same applies to doubles 1 each from Asia, Europe, and "rest of the world".

Teams would take turns selecting players to fill out their rosters and we could hold the draft on badmintoncentral.com.

Are you interested? If so P.M. or send me an e-mail at muehlenbeckphil@hotmail.com
