Assuming is that more power is needed for playing singles...would it make sense, say if a person uses head-light racket for doubles to switch to something even-balance/head heavy for playing singles?

No, it doesn't make sense. There is no such thing as a "perfect" doubles racquet, or a "perfect" singles racquet. You play best what you play most. One racquet that you are reasonably happy with in both singles and doubles is always better. If you switch like that you're going to experience timing problems, which is a much bigger drawback than playing with a racquet that might be a little too head light or head heavy.

Not at all !!!

Look at Lin Dan and Jonas, they use MP-99 to play single and double.

Usually people use head-heavy racket for single and head-light for double.
The reason is (correct me if I am wrong) :
In double you need to attach and defend, so you need a balance racket.
In single, it depends on what kind of player you are ?
If you are a hard hitter and love to attach, head-heavy racket is suitable for you.
But if you are a defence player, like Icuk Sugiarto. You much chose head-light one.

There isn't any "perfect" racket of course (I never claimed it), but there are rackets intended for singles or doubles. Yonex has a chart for categorizing this; whether or not the chart represents reality .. that's what I'd like to know.

You play best what you play most
Obvious...but the question is ..what if I can play well with both rackets, and I do like both? (IE: I don't have timing problems with either racket)
