So how are the Megaflex racquets anyway? I'm considering making my new racquet of choice the Megaflex Tour. But first I'd like to know everyone's opinion on the series first. Are they really good racquets or are they not that good?

I have a Carlton Megaflex F1 Ti, almost 2 years now. Playing mostly doubles.

Since then I have owned with a Yonex MP100 and also 2 Fleet racquets.

My opinion - the Ti is a great all-round racquet and since it's lighter than the MP100, it's better off for the average user. It's slightly heavier than the Fleets, though.

Smashes can be really good when you hit the sweet spot.

The frame is super strong... lots of clashes and it's still holding up. It's strung at 22-23 lbs. MP100 may have been slightly abused, strung at 24 lbs most times.

I bought the MP100 for the sake of owning it and somehow regreted.

Hope this helps.

Next up... a Gosen Aermet 5500. But it'll blow a big hole in my budget.

really....megaflex f1 ti is 93g.....although that may be with manufacturer grip and strung.....is the 2U mp100 even heavier?

I own a Carlton Megaflex tour and i think it is great. I dont have a really fast smash but i think the racket has helped. I would definately recommend it.
