hi guys,

currently im playing with a sotx woven 7, a karakal sl70 and a gosen gavun roots titan 1300 all playing at 25 ibs.

i usually play on 26, 27 ibs...but i cant seem to find the excellent feel in any one of the rackets above. i would say im a counter-attacking player.

anyone with racket recommendations below 85 gms with soft to mid flex..prob slightly head heavy? price is not a factor and i would prefer NOT to use yonex...have not played or liked any of the yonex rackets so far.

i like the feel of my karakal sl70 alot...however it seems a little too light? perfect if it would be a little head heavier...the woven 7 is a little too heavy but the balance point is perfect for me...wheres the gosen gavun roots 1300 is prob a lil bit of both but in the middle of no where. i used to use proace ti-speed and its something like the racket im looking for...however i could not find the specifications of the proace tispeed on the net at all...anyone knows?

anyone will be greatly appreciated...my play is deteriorating fast...HELP!!!

cheers,
ben

You could always add lead tape to the head, but that seems a bit extreme.

I currently play with a Karakal SL-70 too. I can recommend my previous racket, which feels similar: a Yonex MP 88.

The MP 88 is heavier than the Karakal (well...so is every other racket) but still light. It's somewhat head-heavy too, and fairly flexy.

thanks gollum...the problem is the i feel best and most at ease with the karakal sl70..however i just cant produce the shots as compared to when i use the woven 7...weird

among the 3, the karakal feels best...i like the weight..if only it is a little head heavy...i might consider adding lead tape.

Karakal Sl70 is one of the lightest racket in the market nowdays. Woven 7 is known for it's power, but it's more like within 2U weight range. Therefore a 5U vs 2U will surely give some sort of difference in performance.
