Hello yet again fellow badminton fans. I've narrowed my choices down to the Carlton Powerflo 600 AC and the Airblade AS Ti and I'm wondering which one of these you think would be best for me.

I'm mainly an offensive player whether I'm playing singles or doubles (ie. I smash a LOT!) but I play singles more than doubles. I'm tall (6'1") and about 150lbs. I am not exactly very strong and my clears are quite weak so I'd prefer the racquet with more power.

I hope this is enough information to determine which one is right for me. If you, need more just reply here and tell me. Thanks a lot!

I find Carlton AS-Ti easier to produce big smash and high long clear. Both are great racquet but I would personnally go for the AS-Ti^^

The AS Ti is a very stiff racket and more for the offensive power player, I found it too stiff and settled for the AS1.

Are your smashes any good then?
If your clears are weak then you should work on technique. Don't expect the racquet to do it for you.
The AS-Ti is stiff, so you'll have to do all the work.

(Dill, I thought the AS-1 was stiffer than the AS-Ti, and head-lighter)

I see that many poeple have had experience with the AS Ti but have any of you had experience with the Powerflo? How did you like it?

I would agree with the head lightnessof the AS1 but I felt the AS Ti was much more stiff to the point where it stifled my game.

Hi there,

If you are 6' 1" and a singles player, I think you were more on the right track when you were asking about MP99 and Black Knight i960. These are both great singles racquets. I have used both in tournament play. I don't play singles as much as I used to though so my BK i960 is for sale. List price is over $200 Canadian, I will sell you mine for $130, it is strung with Yonex BG85 string at 22 lbs. It is a great smashing racquet.
