Hi
I need help with iso 900 sp users about the string tension? I have already read all 7 pages of searhed threads about iso 900 sp but none of them seems to have tell me what tension is most suitable for this racquet. I have just bought the sx version and have found out Yonex only recommend tension up to 20lbs. But I want something high yet still safe/healthy to the racquet since I've strung my AT500 at 25lbs. Please do advise especially someone like Kwun :p (i know u use to be an iso 900 sp die hard fans!!)
thx for the help

i think kwun has iso900 sr and ss.
ask not what tension is right for your racket but ask what tension is right for you

i have had my iso900sx strung at 22x24 pounds with no problem at all. hit the frame plenty of times at that tension and there is still nothing wrong with it. so i think 24 pounds should be ok.

I prefer to have high tension.... something around 25 lbs but I'm not sure if iso900sx can handle it. Thats why i'm here to get some advise from the users. ;)
and thx shiriblue for your input.. :) soooo, do you still use it?

nah... too legendary of a racket to be used :p yeah i dont like to use it because i've hit the frame so much i keep on thinking it could break. btw i hit really really hard. so right now the strings are cut and im going to hang it on the wall.

so far, I have tried 22 pounds on 900SS, and it's pretty good. I am not sure about 25 (since it's too much for me), but I guess it should be its limit.

There is no problem stringing your racquet at higher tension, provided it is strung properly with an adequate stringing machine. I have spoken to the stringers in the recent Thomas Cup qualifying round as well as the Yonex regional distributor in Singapore about high tension of 30lbs, and they have told me no problem if you know the technique. The key is the force of the pull of the string when tensioning, making sure that your pull does not exceed way beyond 30lbs. The fact that when a tension is set at say 25lbs doesn't mean you might not inadvertently pull at 35lbs. Another key area is to mount your racquet securely, and to string only racquets that do not have micro cracks or faults.
