ok...first of all, i'm in high school and i've been playing on my school badminton team for about three years now. I'm not very experienced with the sport so please bare with me.
Recently, my dad gave me one of his old rackets that he used. I was just wondering if i should stick with this racket or buy a new one. I've posted some pictures of the racket.

i have another question...i was reading the thread about he serial numbers and i noticed that everyone's racket has a serial number on the cone and the shaft, but i only have one on the cone. Is my racket fake or something?

I think your one is real...not all early model has number on the shaft.
Cab 8...I mean your one...is worth to keep as treasure...so I suggest you to buy a new one...
Coz your current one is really rare...

1. The old models don't have the new format of serial #s.
2. Cab8 is pretty durable. However, if u think it's too heavy for u, u might consider get a lighter all graphite racket instead.

The old Cab 8 only has serial no. at the cone.
You Cab 8 is in very good condition for one this old.
Agree with vincenterika, should keep it for collection. As for Cab8's performance, its actually a very good racket, good enough even for competitions.

Yeah, your Cab 8 is in very good condition. I actually saw a brand new one for sale at one of the local Sports Chek store for CAD$29.99.
I have two Cab 8 (orange and green) which are well used but no longer in service as well Cab 7 and 9.
