Hong Kong, China or India for the next Thomas Cup.
I would really hope it's HK (for obvious reasons). But staging the event for a 3rd time in 8yrs? Unlikely.

China would probably the most dominate. If you look at the other tournaments, they are really coming up quick.

Why not let Brunei as the default site for all badminton tournament as an exchange to vote their Sudan(King) the badminton association Chairman.

remember, the sultans love badminton. They even fly in big name pros to play with them.
In reply to Cheung's original posting, my preferred venue would be India simply coz it's different. Good idea to try and spread our feathered sport elsewhere (not too sure about the development in India, cept for the Pradukone academy) but bad if it's not gonna draw the crowds. Anyone knows the popularity level of the game there?
Some rumours I heard about the Sultan, he's so rich he's got 1)rooms wall-papered with dollar notes 2)gold-plated water carriages. Second one's prob more likely to be true.
Cooler's post reminded me of another one stating Paul Newman and Leo DiCap as badminton lovers. Read somewhere that Michael Schumacher and Gong Li love it as well.

Best reason to have the tournament in Hong Kong:
We can all stay at Cheung's house! :-))

That's if you don;t mind sleeping on top of each other. Err, that doesn't sound very nice. I meant that my place is pretty small, so to sleep over you'd have to be stacked up bunk bed fashion!!
Footballer Diego Maradona, i dunno where i read this.
