Hi guys, Mp99 SP shld be selling S$180/- at Classic Sports and Artric Pacific Sports. :) As for SeraphimX... u might want to click and check my past threads coz i did wrote a couple of posts on how to get to this two places.... or do a search using the shop's name as keywords. ;) Linus 04-13-2006, 04:36 AM Just to add to what Slacker said - World of Sports is having a 20% off Yonex rackets. Their MP99/88 are normally priced at SGD199, so with 20% off, it should be SGD159.20, but you may prefer to restring it as they come with BG65 prestrung (I guess at 18-20lbs). They also have stock on AT500/700/800DEF/800OFF/NS7000/NS8000, which I believe are also subject to the 20% discount. (The most complete stocked WoS outlet I saw was at Jurong Point). If one does not mind the trouble of re-strining, then this may be a good option. Not sure when the offer is going to finish though. newjazz 04-13-2006, 05:52 AM r u sure 20% discount apply for ALL type of rackets? also, usually 20% disc only for member?? cuz as far as i understand, usually they only give discount to those low-med racket like: cab5, cab8600 etc. Just to add to what Slacker said - World of Sports is having a 20% off Yonex rackets. The 2U MP100 is an endangered species!:D madman 05-02-2006, 12:43 AM 2U MP100 only good for "slam bam thank you ma'am" kind of play. Not suitable for overall play. Worst is defense. Like moving a hammer when trying to counter strike. Just my 2 cents comments. I feel the nano series is much better. storkbill 05-02-2006, 03:02 AM Can someone update on whether there is 2U for Ti-10 new colour available? I prefer the 2U over the 3U for the old colour Ti-10s. If not available, how about NS9000 S in 2U? anyone seen that in Singapore yet? Anyway, if not available hopefully, wait long enuf, Ranking will probably have. They told me b4 that their shipments are random. They are only allowed to specify model number and whether they get 2U/3U is up to the supplier - so on and off they had Ti-10 in 2U, 3U, G4, G5.... all depends on shipment. khwong 05-02-2006, 12:46 PM Where can i find the cheapest SHB99ltd? They look like the real thing at first glance but you look closer, the sole is very different. Its half the price of the real thing. Yes, the model is AR-98 SUPER. And I think it is distributed only in limited countries, like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, etc. It is funny that Yonex makes a clone of their own product. I wonder whether someday Yonex will make clones of their racket products too.. who know? :D zzz... 05-05-2006, 10:29 AM From what I heard, it is not Yonex who created the clones. It is Sunrise who created the clones, branded under Yonex. Sunrise relationship with Yonex is such that Sunrise is able to use Yonex brand to create items such as, shoes, rackets, etc. Isaku 05-05-2006, 11:18 AM just bought NS8000SP 3U4G from 10&10 today saw alot of NS9000S&K but the color not nice leh :crying: Superstar 05-05-2006, 12:22 PM What the price of NS9k? and your NS8K too? Classic Sports at Toa Payoh Safra. :p How to go there.... please read post #9 written by me of this thread http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31206 ...got the directions to go there. :D AT800DE is around S$208 and NS9000 Type S is around S$248. All inclusive of strings of your choice, stringing and grip and bag. Phone number for enquiries is 62538858, please give him a call first to enquire the avvailability once u reached Singapore.....Look for the Boss Mr Soh. ;) Wah....AT800DF drop price. :( winex8888 06-16-2006, 11:58 PM interesting Sportslink/Sunrise ad but ihmo... are the $9.90 polo shirts worth buying? the material is not really good... if u do not need those free gifts, you could definitely get the racket only for a much lower price in other shops... the $59.90 SHB-50C sold in Singapore is different from the ones sold in other countries eg. Taiwan, Thailand. There is no power cushion for the Singapore version. during the recent aviva open, Sunrise released 'new' models of Yonex shoes eg. SHB68 (blue/grey), SHB65. As you may not be aware, these models have actually been discontinued in other countries. I bought my SHB68 about 2 years ago from Bangkok. I wonder if these 'new' models on sale are old stocks. ants 06-29-2006, 08:51 PM Guys.. my friend is asking me what is the latest Price or NS9000 in spore. Where is the cheapest now? After going through tons and tons of past threads in both the equipment/racket forums and finally here, I kinda have a better idea on what to get. However, as I noticed, Be it the Bras Basah/Sembawang/Safra Toa Payoh stores, U guys are mostly buying the really high end rackets(>$200) What I am looking for is maybe say around the range of $60-$80, dunno if this is considered even mid range to you guys..but tats probably wad I can fork out. Wish to noe tat does the stores tat U guys mentioned carry rackets of that range? Also, any1 has any recommendation on which racket will fit my bill? Brand doesnt really matter :) maa2003 07-17-2006, 09:31 AM Actually depend on the way you play ......... if you an expert, any racket will do .......... if you only low level beginner, even expensive racket can not help. I saw Fleet racket at Classics Toa Payoh SAFRA at SGD 99 for 2 pieces incl. string Yonex BG65 and Grips (2 in 1 price) and bag. you may buy brand HART also at Classics for less than SGD85 also (1 piece only) incl. string, grip n bag. Apacs brand also have .......... e.g. NanoPower 9000 also less than SGD80 so just go there and ask ......... Hey guys, new to this forum. The rackets price in Thailand are cheaper than SG. For example yonex ns8000 around 200 SGD ns7000 around 185 SGD.Is it cheaper than SG?? So I have my friend work in SG and I have plan to visit him. Then I can bring it with me if you guy want it. If someone want me to bring racket for you. We can talk in detail by my msn keng_koad@hotmail.com. One question.Does somebody know the price of Yonex Ti10? and Where can I find in SG. Makoto Kanazawa 07-22-2006, 06:38 PM How much is a Nanospeed 9000x now in Bras Basah, especially in 10n10? Do they also have stocks of SHB-98MX there? DikkieD 08-08-2006, 07:38 AM Guys, I was wondering what the current prices are of the following two racket types: # Babolat Satelite Synchro # SOTX Woven 9A I was also wondering if Singapore is the best place to buy these brands. I read alot about Yonex, but not that much about Babolat or SOTX. I do know that SOTX should be available over there, but I'm not sure where and at what costs. Thanks alot for the input! DikkieD inn0cent 08-09-2006, 02:54 AM Yeahh!! I just went to Classic Sports at Safra Toa Payoh today and bought the Yonex Armortec 800def. It's really the cheapest store selling in Singapore. The Armortec only cost $208 complete with a bag, grip and whatever string you want. But is it true that the head of the frame is always not well-painted? Because I can see some scratches on the top of the frame. In any case, I personally believe that no matter how well you take care of your racket it will still be stratched sooner or later? Yes? No? Did you happen to ask about the prices of other models? inn0cent 08-09-2006, 09:29 AM Did you happen to ask about the prices of other models? I asked about Nanospeed 9000 too. Selling at $248. JBKokKeong 08-09-2006, 11:37 PM Hi ijnek... normally i find that sportslink shuttles prices are too steep.... dats y when amit says AS50 is selling at S$28.....its indeed cheaper den other shops. ;) As far as i know... AS50 selling S$30, AS40 selling S$25 and Protech PT-10 selling S$23 (Dun know why price increase to S$24 and decrease to S$23 again.) All from Classic Sports (TPY Safra) :) Maybe u can do a comparison. ;) If its old stock with yellowish feather i thikn its possible at 28sgd. The new shipment since march cannot be priced at 38 anymore. Yonex quotation per 1000s is at 30.78 at cost price exclu GST. SO I think they have to sell at least 32 or 33 just to make 1 sgd. AS 40 new batches also cost sgd 28 at least. FYI, all other brands which are selling at 23 or 24 since the bird flu problem that cause the shortage of feathers, please becareful about them. Yonex raise the price because they have stuck with Goose Feathers. However, other brands have only increase only 1 or 2 sgd. The reason is beacuase they have took up the manufacturers option of using duck feathers instead of goose feathers and using a lousier and cheaper cock screw and make in China gel instead of Make in Japan gel for their shuttlecocks. At the market right now, its impossible to get high end quality and lasting shuttlecock without having to pay at least $26 and above. As the saying goes, "Quality Comes with a Price". Chinese : "Yi Fen Qian, Yi Fen Huo" I recently took in 50 tubes of *T-10 and find their quality absolutely atrocious when compared to their last shipment. They same gose to S**tec Classics. The shuttlecock spins in the air like a tornado during the Lensmen Inter Club League tournament as it is one of the sponsors..... Just a reminder that getting a good quality shuttle cock will save you more as you change the shuttle less often. 1 shuttle that cost you around 2.50sgd each save your more when you have to change 2 shuttle at 2sgd each. Total savings = 1.50 each time. ;) sg2303 08-11-2006, 12:56 AM does anyone knows the price of ProAce Lightning 828?? I'm not sure about TH racket bought in Singapore. I heard people said that SP version is more durable, but personally, I do not think so. For performance, it is exactly the same (based on my experience) TH versions are definately more fragile. Experienced stringers (Toa Payoh Safra, etc) told me there is a difference when they string the same tension on JP, SP and TH rackets. I used to have quite a few JP, SP and TH rackets so I could tell there's even a slight diff in stiffness/weight distribution etc. modious 08-22-2006, 07:36 PM TH versions are definately more fragile. So is the indian stall the best place to buy racquets and stuff in Queesnway? modious 10-11-2006, 01:19 AM So is the indian stall the best place to buy racquets and stuff in Queesnway? I wouldn't say it's the best as that's subjective.... but normally they won't quote you a ridiculous price. ;) Sealman 10-11-2006, 03:29 AM Just bought AT700 3UG5 from Gala Sports in Queesway. S$210 c/w BG85 & overgrip. No stock for 4U version. It is a few dollars more than the cheapest you can get elsewhere but since I was already there, well, I just bought it w/o thinking too much about it being slightly more expensive. Hope you bought the SP version for that price. They tried to sell me the TH version at SP prices the last time I was there. madman 10-11-2006, 03:48 AM It is the SP version. If you walk towards Chau Beng, turn left in front of the shop and continue all the way straight. You should find the other shop. The stringing is fine. They normally do 1 piece stringing unless you request for 2 piece stringing. U mean Newlink? I went to Chau Beng to ask for price of SHB-90, they said $100 no discount. I walked out, went to Newlink and they immediately quoted $90. I buy my Yonex racquet bags from them as they're the cheapest prices around too. Haven't considered racquets from them because i don't know how good is their stringing and seems to be some negative comments around.. If i have to restring after a few weeks, then not really saving money. _MyST_Spring 10-11-2006, 10:37 AM U mean Newlink? I went to Chau Beng to ask for price of SHB-90, they said $100 no discount. Found that 10N10 quotying the cheapest for At700 (SGD200), the rest are quoting SG249 (b4 10% discount). din have time to visit Chau Beng. The shop assistant, a young chap, at 10N10 is quite friendly, explained a fair bit info on the shoe as I was looking for one. Was interested in SHB99 Limited but selling SGD149. After conversion, most badminton equipments are still cheaper than here in Kuching (sarawak, m'sia). Slacker 10-30-2006, 09:20 AM How about the price Ti-10??hope to find old Ti-10 when i got down next weekend... Hi grange, Old Ti10 can only be found at Sportslink outlets....but its price is a whopping S$229. :p Artric and Classic and those badminton specialised shops at Queensway S.C. and Bras Basah all dun have already. :( grange 10-30-2006, 11:53 PM Thanx slacker, thought of getting the old one which has a better review than the new one, hope to find one which is resonable in price. Slacker 10-31-2006, 12:56 AM Thanx slacker, thought of getting the old one which has a better review than the new one, hope to find one which is resonable in price. At700 and mp 99 kind of a price higher compare to ti-10..What do u think?? Hi grange...i do happen to have a 3UG5 pre Nov'04 Ti10... its considered slight head-heavy ...in fact it feels quite similar to a 3UG5 Mp99 (around S$180) which i also have... Absolutely love using both of them... :D The new Ti10 (S$160) i got hit it a few times.....its definitely feels head-light.... but its very fast for defense and clearing seems effortless somehow. But sure lacks the edge in terms of smashing and driving power compared to old Ti10 especially those pre Nov'04 batch which are head-heavier and stiffer. ;) But the Pros have no problems switching to the new Ti10.... eg FHF, KKK, XZB etc...as i said...they are PROS. :o I will suggest a MP99 for u...since its only S$20 more expensive.... but different pple different preferences. :p At700 i dun like...coz felt too head-heavy for me. :( |
