This question was raised in the stringing forum section. FYI.

Where we can shop with Yonex ES5Pro string machine in singapore ? I want to re-string my AT700.

You can go to Yonex showroom at Far East Plaza, next to Hyatt Hotel. BG66 stringing cost S$21

9824 is double straps while 9820 is single
both are 6 rackets bag.

9829 i bought blue colour one.
This is a 9 to 12 rackets bag
I found it too BIG
The white version is much expensive.
Heard the white quality suppose to be better than the blue one.

I dun know why 9824 is so rare in Msia n Spore:confused:. I tried to buy online in UK but the price is almost GBP 40 which I think it is a bit expensive.

I wish I can purchase 9824 when I am travelling to Spore this July. Hopefully by that time I am lucky enough to meet one.

The models which Soh plan to carry cannot be found in the Forza website and my guess is these models are produced for this region only. Sometime back I bought an original Forza racquet bag from a reputable shop in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and its not found in the catalogue.

I recently saw some babolat mid-high end racquet in RSH, Orchard Rd.

There's two models. One is about SGD125 and the other is SGD110.

I think it's the Satellite Star/Satelite Solar. The racquets certainly looks nice, gives more choice than just the Wilson racquets. Technology includes a V-joint, some Kevlar/graphite composite etc.

I also saw the new model Wilson K-Smash, a blue-ish racquet, nice colors.

I cant say that Mr Soh is right or wrong on this matter. Probably he has exposed to more IPs than JPs when he do his stringing and selling of items.

Personally I think both is equally good but JP has better made/quality than IPs rackets. If you can get a hold on IP rackets... i would advice you to do so. Its rarer to get an IP than JP as well. Whenever players go to Japan Open, all of them request for JPs even when there are IPs for them. As in tournaments outside Japan, mostly of the rackets issued are IPs.

regarding this, i think i can understand what Soh meant. I bought one AT700 IP for my friend from him, and before he strung the racket, i test out the racket frame by flexing the frame head. Not much of a budge, and definitely very sturdy. (in case you didn't know, i weigh 200+lbs and broke some rackets with my bare hands before). the IP version also is not that head heavy, but delivers powerful shots, doesn't give up that much in defense. (couldn't resist trying the racket, as i was a 1st gen AT700 owner once). i can't comment on the quality of materials/ construction as compared to JP version, but this IP is definitely a great racket.

You are asking for the price movement across time?

Most of us (in Singapore) do not buy racket directly from Sunrise.

Not sure if you remove string/grip but the AT900P/T can be had for around SGD240-250 from most shops outside the one you mentioned.

Hi and thanks for the reply

im asking for the current price right now? and refering to the shop at the far east Plaza, as my friend will go there (as it is the only shop that she knows that sells yonex, im sure theres a lot in Singapore), and she ask me what the price in that shop,

for the string question, most of the at900 comes with no string in Indonesia, so im just guessing that the shop, would sell the same (like it comes with the string but they charged more if you string in the shop thingy, well i dunno thou,), most of my friend in Indonesia recommends the shop at Far East Plaza, but the last time they come there is about, 3 years ago...

so after i read the forum i know that there is a lot of shops that sell cheaper from the far east plaza shop, but unfortunately me and my friend really dont know our way around Singapore.

Paramount hotel is at Katong/East Coast area. I think you will enjoy the hotel as there's alot of pubs there with many gals :p

There's no badminton shop there, all the badminton shops are concentrated at Queensway shopping centre. Just take a cab there, should cost you S$15 for the cab.

I am not very sure ...
Ultima series are in Malaysia too not just Singapore
I bought my Ultima 100 LTD in Malaysia which cost me S$37 compared to Singapore which cost around S$50+.

They are much cheaper because they don come with power cushioning and graphite plate in the insole and lateral claws . The one shown in Ultima series is just a piece of carbon lookalike sticker .

Don't know which side of the road is the driving in Vietnam. In Singapore it is traditional British and not pro American which is on the Right. Then, as an island, the roads are arranged in circular fashion. This serves a challenge who got used in a bicycle/motorbike traffic and French flair.
Better study carefully the main traffic heart transport of Singapore which is the MRT, Monorail, Skyway or Skytrain. This is the best way to see and shop through the island with the least time and problems. At the arrival airport in Changi, look for those FREE Map stalls, get a modest amount as they have many versions in Chinese and English. Good Luck.

So far in Sg, they only offer 20% with string+bag+grip..

But another shop is MB sports shop which gv 30% discount and 35% discount for the member, but the poor thing is they order this racket from China website instead from Sg agent directly, and if you hv any problem on the racket, there might be some guarantee/re-claim problem..

Moderator should remove that posts. We have no place for that remark. Prices also can be higher due to the string or grip other things they provide so unless you ask specific questions if not they is no benchmark for comparison. Secondly even if they charge you higher does not mean they are no good fellow. Everyone is just doing their own business and if you like it you buy it. That's all. Lining also charge through the roof but you also buy. Why? Because Lin Dan using it. Can i say never trust a China brand?

The Lethal 70 I bought in Singapore is 4U version which is different from the 3U version that I read from the UK Badminton blog which gave it a 10/10 rating. Nevertheless, the 4U I got at $120 with bag is good value for the money. I am not sure if there are 3U version in other shops here. Just take note of which version you want and can get from the shop you patronised.

By the way, the nearest MRT to Bras Basah is City Hall, not Bugis. But I think Queenway may be a better place to shop as there are more variety.

Oh.. i am not sure how much does the 6-rackets Li-Ning bag weigh.. but if you are looking for something which is light... i do not think Li-Ning is the one to go to... coz i am currently using the 9-racket Li-Ning bag as posted by ahcheng, it clearly outweighs my previous Yonex 2420 and 9624 bag, though the Yonex'es are 6-racket bags. :p

But i do have to say the materials used interior and exterior are far superior than that of Yonex's... and the straps are more cushy too. :D

Hmm.. so it is best if you can go to the shops and carry the bag to check out the weight first. :)

I don't really care about the weight. I mean our field pack is heavier isn't it? :D

I am looking for something more compact when i want to take a bus or something. Carrying the 9829 when i am not bringing alot of stuff can be quite troublesome. For example when i am joining other peoples game and not the organiser. I prefer to make do with 1 tube in my bag rather 3 to 4 tubes of shuttle. That's why. But Lining bag is sure better investment than yonex as the quality is much nicer

Instead of getting a bag, why not consider getting a backpack then ?

You can still put your shoes, 2 - 3 racquets and change of clothing.

I normally use my Victor badminton backpack when I am not carrying alot of stuff.

Does anyone know whether the 3U version of APACS Lethal 70 is available in Singapore?

Looking for a 6 racket bag when looking to travel light.

Xl, have a look at the 7926/JP 912PR. Its quite compact compared to the 9829.

i've been thinking of getting a Lethal 70 from SG but i'm also afraid of Apacs's QC which tends to approve off spec rackets to flow out to the market

so my question is, are there any shops in SG that has good price on L70 and provide extra services (weighing and measuring balance point) to ensure that the particular racket is on spec?

10 & 10 give this bag free when you buy the N series racket....... not a bad deal with 20% to the racket cost.....

Anyway, the new model is out and look shiok....

Remember seeing the N50(II) and N90 (II)

Hi huangxl,

I saw this bag at 10 & 10...retailing at $139.90..before discount. I believe the discount is around 20%... might be cheaper if you are buying a Li-Ning racket too. ;)

Anyway, you can take a look at this thread in Buy & Sell by ahcheng about this 9-rackets bag: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81248

Hmm...really disgusted by their sales antics...if the above are true...no ethics at all to those who are not familiar with the pricing difference of SP/IP and TH coded rackets and end up paying much more than they should!

A TH coded racket can easily cost S$50-S$80 cheaper from a SP/IP coded racket.

from what I heard.. 10 n 10 had some issues with the Yonex supplier, so they decided to switch to Li-Ning. I went to visit the shop last month and the owner kept promoting Li-Ning to me, saying it was better than Yonex and easier to claim the warranty and all that.

Artic (at Sembawang) does not sells Apacs on a regular basis. But it is a interesting to visit as it has many different brands - Winnex, Sotx, some Victors and occassionally good 2nd hand rackets.

For Apacs, I think it is easier to get from Classic Sports in Toa Payoh. There are some Apacs models in the shop, or you can order others with short turnaround time.
