think about it another way, Indonesia is bound to grab the Thomas Cup and China's going to get the Uber Cup. who'd want to host the event so others can win?

Indonesia could be the host, but they don't seem to be interested. China outright said they don't want to host it. it'd be really difficult for other countries to host it. i bet there are a few of them who thinks like the Malaysians, why host it for others to win?

China seems to be sitting quite sturdily on the Uber Cup throne. as for the Thomas Cup, the only country that has the ability to topple Indonesia may be Korea. and perhaps China.

my hope will be Hongkong decide to host it again, so i can have an excuse to go to HK. or may be Korea.

To tell you the truth, i'm worried for Indonesia, i've suported them ever since the beginning and will support them until the end but seeing their performance at the Asia Cup, i'm worried.

But i think they should have won it though, Hendrawan had that match against Chen Yu won until his eye got injured......

I share your sentiments Byro. If the A-Cup is any indication, Indonesia is losing its stranglehold in the men's events (do they have one in the first place?), save for the men's doubles. I was just thinking that if China holds the event, they may well grab both cups. It sux when the team you support loses. My parents, both Liverpool FC fans since the 70s, were experiencing a rut for nearly 10 years. Things have obviously picked up in recent months =)
