Anybody ever have this problem? You go to play at your local club but you never really get to practice all your shots because after the warm up (short warm up) your opponents would like to start the game at once. I could say no because I don't feel like I'm quite ready yet but I say yes just to be polite. Most of them just want to play games. Games are good for strategy but ever since my regular gym closed its hard to get time to do drills. I have gained a lot of strategy by playing a lot of games but my confidence in my shots have decreased.

Tell your coach what you think about this!! It helps a lot! I had the same problem for 1.5years ago but then I told my coach that I want to do other things also and now I have very good practices!( well-Iīm playing now on a higher level than for 1.5years ago...) If you havenīt a coach so talk to your friends about this. Ask if they want to be good players. If they do say that then you have to do also other things than just play and play and play games!

Sometime, I have the worst practice before the game. My opponent
made the shot so chaotic and messy. I lost my patience, and told him that "we are practising, not playing game".

Sad to say that this is only a recreational club and there is no coach, I'm looking for a more competitive one but there are none here, at least none close to where I am. I'm not looking to turn pro or anything but I would just like to have confidence in all my shots. I may be able to get someone to do drills w/ me its just a matter of getting court time.

i don't like playing games all the time becuase it doesn't make you better at techniques ad i know the time could be better spent doing drills .

in order to gain skills you have to pratice the skills over and over.. you can't really do that by just playing games . 8(
