Does anyone know where I can get hold of some rectangular-or is it square?-rubber grommet for the MP99. Yonex in Hong Kong sent me some round grommets (free) but not the MP99 type, which they claim they don' have.

have you checked with luxis? i was browsing their website earlier and saw some mp grommets for sale. i just don't remember if they have it for the 99.

I contacted Yonex in Hong Kong but they sent me the non-MP99 grommets. They told me then they did not have any in Hong Kong. I then contacted Yonex Japan and they told me to contact their distributor, Sunrise, in Singapore. Following my inquiry, Yonex Japan probably contacted Sunrise. I have been told I should be able to get some MP99 grommets next week from Yonex Hong Kong; and they give them away without any charge.

grommets are easy to break, so I think it's very common to replace them once a while.

One of my two MP99 was sent to a racquet manufacturer in Shenzhen to repair a faint crack at the 11 o'clock location and it came back, repaired, but with 5 of the original grommets replaced by new round ones. They said they have to remove that many grommets although the faint crack was near only one grommet. They didn't have the decency to use back my old grommets, thinking they were doing me a favour by replacing with new round grommets.

ah okay. at least you'll have the new grommets soon. :cool:
