Even if half of those people decides to come, VRC still wouldn't fit.

Hm...if there is enough interest, we could rent out a gym or something. The first thing that came to mind is Bethany Baptist Church, the place that Traum's tournament was suppose to take place. Of course, this would need some planning to do, so probably need to take place late July or August.

Sorry to put a damper on things but VRC would never allow so many guests in on a single night. Doing so without permission would probably result in all VRC BF members involved getting fined or their memberships revoked. You would have to specially rent/book the entire VRC hall in order accommodate such an event.

For such a large event, I strongly suggest you consider an alternative venue such as ClearOne or Bethany Church gymnasium, that is prepared to book courts for the public.

That's one of the reasons I am reluctant to go to the VRC gatherings. Don't want to get the members into unnecessary trouble. If it's OK I might join on that day. :)

It was funny that i ran in to Kwun! I'm moved to the bay area a few months ago. The strange thing is that even though there's more badminton to be found here, I was actually was able to play more easily in Austin, but overall i'm just glad there's a good place to play.

With my new work schedule, i havn't been able to a whole lot. I get the feeling i'm going to suck a whole lot when i get back to vancouver.

Another one of those torture evening again..4.5 hours of badminton. Have to finally admit that I am too old to play these long hours...and maybe this sport.
Enjoyed myself, good to see familiar faces and to meet 604Badder and finally Kitty & Oyaji. Saw the 15Loves with their new baby. Should have stop and say hello to them. Alas, I thought as I get older, my manners would have improved.......Sorry Mr.& Mrs. 15Love. :o

You're always welcome to join us for games at VRC, if not at Collingwood. Man, I am so at home now with VRC that watching the shuttle during B-M-S' last collingwood session was a blurry white:(. I really hope WWC's new club would work out. I think this last two VRC outings works out pretty well for you... great workout, cool people, nice courts and lighting and all the time you want to play. For $7-10, I think it beats all community drop-ins... no matter how cheap they are:D... er, Collingwood excepted, of course:o.

I agree VRC is a great facility. When you think of it, if you pay $7 and play at least 6hrs, you're paying less than $1.20 per hour which is cheaper than Collingwood (plus you get the proper lighting and the green walls!)
