Indonesia has the strongest doubles man in the world, they can have two pair:
Tony/Halim and Chandra/Sigit, and I don't think any doble in China or the world can beat the Indo double.

Since there are 3 single and 2 doubles matches in Thomas Cup, Indonesia only need to steal one single, which shouldn't be too hard. Hence the Thomas Cup for next year still goes to Indonesia.

But for Uber Cup, China is unbeaten.

what i see in the asia cup and sudirman cup is that the Zhangs have high hopes in winning the INA duo if they keep improving like that !!! I think this could be a reason why they sent tony and candra, cos if they sent tony and halim or candra and sigit, only one duo will have the chance to experience the force of the zhangs but if they sent one on each pairs, so both can experience and when they get back to INA, they can share their idea abt the zhangs with their partners and work out a way to break zhangs' playing style. This is a own of view.

Even malaysia's Roslin is good, Peter gade's Performance at Sudirman cup shows improvement, Lee Huyun II is not bad too, His smashes are as strongful as Chen Hong as what i witness myself. The duo of Korea is good but still lack of partnership.

Well, too bad we don't get to watch the SC. But after having seen the scores of Gong vs. Martin I was moved by what Gong gave her opponent. This must be the most nightmare Martin is going to ever dream of.

Budi - Agree that Indonesia's strength will lie in their doubles. But they WILL need to work on their singles as well. The Chinese pair may not be as strong, but is definitely capable of pulling a upset. Their first game against Tony/Candra was very tight and I have a suspicion that they were playing a lot more relaxed in the 2nd to conserve ZJ's energy for the mixed (which wasn't played).

Wins - I meant you were cute, as in humorous, not good-looking (hell, I dunno if you are or not). I used Taufik as an eg because he is undisputedly attractive, at least to a lot of Indonesian girls. Agree with your third posting that we can't really tell. The Zhangs ARE improving a lot and all the players you've listed are very capable but my favourites for T-Cup will still be Indo and China - by virtue of tradition, if nothing else.

I dun know if u all notice this, some players like Martin are very panick and emotional type. Me too is this type of player. When during the day i am angry, i will be bad-temper in badminton too. So i prefer to play in the morning or night.
Players like Gopichand, Martin, Zhangs, Yoo Yong Sung and Chen Hong get frustrated easily.
when u get panick and angry, u will be be concentrate and tends not to bother abt ur partner. I think that if not for that, they are great players.
If not for Martin's temper, she can win Gong.

I don't think Hendrawan has ever lost his form, at least not from his recent matches. It's just that age is sadly catching up on him.

Gong has always held her cool in all the matches i have seen. the only one that she completely broke down was the Asian games match against Yonekura. but she has already put that into history.

nowadays, she plays with a lot of confidence. she seems to step into the court and fight till the end and never let go. she didn't give a point to Camilla on the second game and i don't think she even felt sorry during the game. and perhaps that was the mistake she made in the Asian game.

and perhaps if Camilla has shown more sportwomenship and be less bitchy on the court, we will feel more sorry for her.

also, regarding Chen Hong, i believe he has a lot of patience and i don't see him getting frustrated during a match. he did lost concentration in the second game and rushed things a little bit, but that's was about it. in other parts of the match, he was very willing to just continue rallying with Hendrawan.

i feel sorry for Peter.... after so much work winning his game, now he has to go home and try and calm Camilla down.
