do you have any foot disorders?

me, i seem to have a problem with my right foot. this is something i've only come to realise in the past few years.

my problem is my right foot does align with the shoe. this means while the tip of the shoe is pointing at 12 o'clock, my toes are pointing at about 1 o'clock (roughly). same happens to the heel. my heel is pointing at about 7 o'clock but the back of my shoe is pointing at 6 o'clock.

yes you must find it very odd. i do too. i've tried to change but nothing seems to work. it just seem to naturally fit that way. and this problem goes beyond shoes as i have the same problem when wearing slippers and sandals.

does anyone else share my problem or am i the only one? :(

oh yes, i have twisted my right ankle 4 times (one incident being very serious: 4 months out of action and 2 weeks not being able to walk on my right feet normaly) in the past 5 years. none (twist) in the past year since i changed to a shoe with a very wide bottom sole.
so im not sure if the twisting was caused by my odd foot position or the old shoe was just crap?

anybody can help??

Have you seen a foot specialist or doctor? Maybe you need to get some orthopedic arches or even orthopedic shoes? My suggestion is to see a health care professional. Good luck! :)

oops i mean does not align with shoe.

there is no pain what so ever if i may add. i can pretty much stand or walk the whole day like a normal person. its pretty much the position that has got me baffled

Although there is no pain, i think the structure of your foot had changed over the times you twisted your ankles. Did you went for any treatments when you twisted your ankles or you just let them heal or let it pain till it goes away?

Because the last time i twisted my ankle from basketball, i went to a traditional treatment methods. When he was working on my ankle, he said that my foot was out of shape due to an older injury. I twisted my ankle before but let the pain go away for sometime.

Best option now, is that you go see a professional doctor to help you check on you foot. It might not hurt now, but who knows what will happen in the future. It could actually hurt badly as you age. :)

Since there is no pain, I am guessing you are already used to it. However, there is still a chance that it will be worse in the future, and by that time, it's probaby going to be painful and hard to "put-it-back".

You might want to see a doctor on this, and perhaps, X-Ray might be needed. (Make sure you have health insurance :p)

wait. i think there is a misunderstanding here (another strike at my poor communication skills :o )

there is nothing wrong with the shape or structure of my feet (as far as i know). it is the way my my right foot fits into a shoe/slipper/sandal. looking at myself barefoot i cant find anything wrong with them. they function normal and everything else.

and in response to tir168, i've always thought that my odd feet-shoe problem was (might have been) the cause of the injury. i never actually thought about it the other way around as you have put it. thanks for the insight. ill try to figure which way it actually is. :)

omg, i have the EXACT same problem. I tried wearing those inner sole things, and only made it worse. Now my knee hurts really bad. I just twisted my left ankle, and the worst that can happen is happening. Its becoming like my right foot!

I missed out something too, before i had my foot "put-back" to its original, before injury shape [ although even now, i don't feel any difference ], after the pain on my first injury had gone, my foot looks normal too. Like you, i couldn't see anything wrong with my foot, visually.

I was shocked [ really i was = ] too when i was told that my foot was out of place. =)

i know i said i didnt have any pain with my feet. but now i have just come to realize something.

i just bought a new pair of shoe. there's nothing wrong with the shoe and is fine. but the problem is my right foot is now trying to 'break in' the shoe. this right foot of mine is trying to force its way to the right causing my little toe to be squashed on the right side wall of the shoe. so after a game my little toe and its nail is quite sore. :(

my right foot is such a rebel and doesnt want to align with the shoe. sigh.

Just wondering?Have you considered orthotic inserts ?Perhaps you have fallen arches or have one leg shorter than the other.Alot of things can affect the alignment of the foot.Anyways I have orthotics in my shoes and they reduce the pronation and help in properly aligning my knee which has had surgery on when I was younger.A podiatrist also might help. Here in Vancouver we have a specialty shoe store called Kintec footlabs which specialize in orthotics and matching the proper shoes for the activity and imbalances of the athletes.anyways just a thought.
