"The six players to represent Australia in badminton in Athens have been training hard at Altona, 6 days a week. Jane Crabtree returned back from the Netherlands last week. The Squad will train right up until 28 July when they leave for Pre-Olympic Training in Singapore with the Singapore National Squad. Key dates for them:
o Training at National Centre - Altona Badminton Stadium
o WA International - Perth - 23 - 25 July 2004
o Depart for Singapore - 28 July
o Training Camp in Singapore - 29 July - 6 August
o Depart for Frankfurt/Athens 7 August
o Arrive in the Olympic Village, Athens – 9 August
o Opening Ceremony – 13 August
o Badminton – Day 1 of Competition 14 August
o Closing Ceremony – 29 August"
