I just bought a 3u Cab30ms last week. It was a GREAT racket. However, is the oval head/length a disadvantage of the racket?

I think that long racket should be better than normal ones (higher hitting point maybe?), not sure about the oval head though. Can anyone tell me why ??

Thanx

Everything has its advantages and disadvantages, but then, some aren't as important.

To me, it seems that oval heads are more "explosive" than some isometric rackets, but the sweetspot is smaller, but it does not matter for me, because I seem to hit most of my shots dead on.

As for the length, you can look at it several ways:
- A regular length racket can be swung faster, might be useful for fast rallies in doubles
- A longer racket delivers more power, and can reach a little bit farther.
- you can always grip higher on a longer racket to improve swing speed

So I prefer long rackets, that's why I have an BK PC68, which is extra long.

My shotz are more powerful with a regular lenght racquet, I think it all depends of people like string tension.

Let me ask 1 question 1st, what makes you have the above question?

Brave Turtle, thanks for the link. It really helps quite a lot. And thankx for everyone who posted as well.

I knew my post sounds quite stupid but I am only asking as one of my friends asked me y get a cab30ms when I could get a mp. Sounds like he didn't like the oval head much. Anyway, I really LOVE my cab30ms and didn't find it that hard to get used to the racket at all.

It's just preference. Same as like, someone likes spicy food, but others love sweet and sour. Who has the better "choice"? Well, just get ur own favorite, as long as you like it. :p

Well, not that many oval racquets have the long length. Most of the ovals are in regular length. However, since Oval racquets already pack a lot of power inside, giving it a long length would just make it even more deadly weapon :)

EX: Cab30MS(long size make it more tactical) and Cab20L(huge power)
