I am just wondering why are you guys still using old model racket? e.g. cab20 or cab 30. As well, selling or buying those rackets.
I thought newer racket should be superior than old one? I know it's just a matter of preference, just wondering...

We are using Cab 20 because it has great performance, good durability, and yet, the price is much lower than new ones.
Cab30MS is a new racquet from the beginning of this year, I don't think it's old at all

I was under this train of thought that newer should be better too when I started getting serious about badminton. I did all the research and everything pointed me to the MP99 as the one that suited me. When I started playing though, there was something lacking in the feel from the 99's massive sweetspot. It did not produce the crisp impact that I really wanted from my shot. I had a friend in Japan at the time and he picked up a new Cab 20 for me (fairly cheap as it's old). I had to get used to smaller sweetspot and hitting on center (which I should do anyways), but in return I had much better accuracy and feel from the cab's oval head. This is likely due to the closer string bed spacing. I have not looked back since.
You can read all about this topic from our previous discussion.

There's something in the Cabs that new models are missing. Newer models offers tons of technologies but still miss that little somthing that Cabs have. I can't really explain tough, you have to play with it to understand it.

The "Soul" ?
(Yeah, I think Cabs have more distinguishing characteristics)
The "soul' of a badminton racket!!

Hahha...that's deep...but it could be. Somehow with all this fuss about Ultimum TI and other fancy smancy jargon, the good old graphite straight up just feels the best. (Of course Yonex could never admit that Cab 20 was the pinnacle of racquet feel and overall engineering balance as how many of us are saying. They'd have no way to increase their market cap.!)

Perhaps I will try myself. I have MP77 and ISO Ti SP. I might purchase AR800 OF in 2 week times and I guess I will spare some budget for CAB racket. It seems everyone is prefered CAB20, I might try that.

"May the force be with you" :)
Carbonex is different comparing to MP or AT racquets, so you might need a little time for adjusting :) if you are not familiar with it. Anyway, it's gonna be a good experience!!
