View Full Version : Yonex armortec 600ti
bryanng 08-10-2004, 09:21 AM Hi everyone, i'd like to seek for assistance in authenticate genuineness of this yonex armortec ti 600...
The seller is doing sale of this racquet in malaysia for RM220 (USD1 = RM3.80) and i have doubt after this model doesn't exist in yonex official site @ http://www.yonex.com/badminton_armortec.cfm or http://www.yonex-th.com/b_racket.php
It's grateful if u could put some comments on that or attach useful articles to support your opinions. Thanks.
jeffreyk 08-10-2004, 09:27 AM I think its a fake! But its better looking than the real one :D
Reasons;
1. where's the square grommets?
2. the back of the card is b/w, the authentic one has colour!
3. too cheap to be real (most obvious!)
bryanng 08-10-2004, 09:34 AM yeah....i found so suspicious of having no square grommets as well....another problem is i haven't get a chance to see the genuine armortec racquet....:D
LazyBuddy 08-10-2004, 09:39 AM I think it's a fake:
1. The plastic wrap on handle is very loose and cheap, same as many other fakes.
2. The "Made in Japan" characters seems in bad printing quality
3. Price is way too cheap, even though the final saling price might be higher
4. The overall quality seems cheap, but also might be light effect.
bryanng 08-10-2004, 09:48 AM i am totally agree with

still awaiting for more responses and comments on this item.
bluejeff 08-10-2004, 10:50 AM The fake seller is making a joke of himself on this fake racuqet:
1. the logo card said there is a CSC cap, but look at the cone, there is no such a thing. So it just knocks itself down :D
2. Yonex doesn't print "Made in Japan" to that close to the cone as if it really want everyone to know it is japan product or something.
3. "ARMO.RTEC" on the shaft should only be used on the head of the frame, it shouldn't be also on the shaft. (It should be just ARMORTEC, as seen on the card, so it knocks out itself here again)
4. The paint is not balance and ugly, Yonex would never make such a ugly racquet, not to mention its fonts are so not right and not consistent.
and there are more.....and again...too lazy
bryanng 08-10-2004, 11:13 AM bluejeff...thanks for enlightening many serious signs of a fake racquet
shall we finalise this as a fake racquet by now?
cooler 08-10-2004, 11:14 AM not only a fake but it's a cheap fake.
bluejeff 08-10-2004, 11:59 AM yeah, it's a "funny" fake racquet, the quality is just too bad.
The color look nice.. too bad its a fake.. a lousy fake.
herovc 08-10-2004, 02:01 PM it says "2U" on the cone for an armortec series, it's definitely a fake.

well, since it's an unknown racquet (there is no such a racquet on the catalog), there might be a future AT racquet that has 2U option. ;)
henrileconte 08-10-2004, 02:24 PM Fake. The word Stream alone, doesn't seem a word yonex would use, also strange to add Ti. And than it says armortec, but at the head of the racket where you can normally see the title foil of aluminium which has been inserted in the top part of the frame to give it a bit more punch, it just isn't there. So it isn't even armortec. To bad, I liked the colour.
cooler 08-10-2004, 02:43 PM Fake. To bad, I liked the colour.
All their R&D $$ went into the color selection :o
Muteki 08-11-2004, 08:06 PM I wish my racquet is that colour.
Anyway, the racquet looks fake, with features that are so "un-Yonex"!!
Benasp 08-12-2004, 07:02 AM there no csc !!! ( control system cap)
