I'm looking for a training partner to do drills, maybe play some singles, a couple of hours a week, in East London. I live near Beckton and there a few good sports centres nearby but I don't mind travelling a bit further out.

I'm a middle league standard player but I don't mind practising with someone below or above me.

Cheers,

David

Hi,
Thanks for the post. How many courts do you have and how many players on average turn up? Could you tell me is it just for recreational playing or are here club players playing too?

Thanks,

Heya, We got 4 courts (sometimes 3) from 7 - 1030. Standards pretty varied. The better players tend to stay the latest when there are more courts. I would say the first part of the evening is highly social...than it gets more competitive.
We're currently a Div 3 club..but some of our players would more be Div 2 level I think
On the average, about 20 - 25 people turn up.

Yes, I have to agree that theres been loads more people turning up on Tuesdays.
For some reason, people like to play on tuesdays?
Wednesdays and thursdays are not as crowded.

In order of popularity/number of people turning up, Tues, Thurs, Wednesdays

Cheers!

Just curious but is the overload of players due to the details posted up in this thread? ;)

Hi David

I'm beginner....actually I'm try to find someone to play with during workdays on the evening. I'm leaving at Surrey Quays and I don't mind if I have to move to another place to play.

Do you have any idea about clubs nearby as well?

Thanks

Hi David,

Do you play by any chance on Sunday mornings at a club near Edgware Road from 9am to 13am? Crompton Road I think is the name at the Westminster Hall.
I play there as well and there is somebdody called David.
I would like to play during the week but I am looking for a good/high level. I would like to do some drills and play again some singles.
I live in Pimlico and don't have a car, but could (if good transport available) travel a distance around that area of 30 min or so....

If somebody has any good ideas....

Thanks
Manuel

Hello everyone.
I am based in south london (streatham) and would like to find someone to do some training with and again maybe play some singles. Play in county league division 3 in doubles but would really like to get playing some singles. Junior county and regional player and would like to get back there after a few years off.
Anyone?

Hi David
I live in Beckton too mate. Im playing at Ramgharia now every Friday but I must say Im just smashing fun out of my way. Im not actually into competition at the moment but just want to sharpen the edge so trying to level up to my previous level as a double's specialist. FYI, I was just a club player back in Malaysia before I came over so not quite sure where I stand here.

Gimme a shout at sayunnzcb@gmail.com

Cheers

Sorry, but I moved to Surrey a few years ago and am now playing in the Kingston area.

There is a club on Saturday afternoons, at Mulberry Girls School from 1-4 pm which is pretty good. The organiser is called Meng and it costs £6.

Cheers

David
