Hello people, this is my 1st post here! Glad to see a badminton forum!
I've been playin Badminton since 1996, I saw it on the Olympics and decided I wanted a piece of the cake. Anyway a stopped playing a few years back as I got really involved with cycling.
Now after having watched it on the olympics, i've decided i want to get back into it. Im still relatively fit, owing to the cycling. Id like recommendations on badminton rackets....money is no object. I want some sweet weapons!
I currently have a Fleet Titanex 5000. Thanks all!
Welcome to BCBf.. the best rackets out there is the Yonex AT800 and Yonex AT700 if you are looking for high end rackets which money is not a problem.
But if you are starting to play badminton.. i would suggest the best all round racket which is Yonex MP90/MP99. You can seach for their reviews in this forum.

I recommend the Armortec 800 OF/DF, MP90(or MP99), Ti-10.
Others might recommend the Cab 20 or the Cab 30's. Some use the Iso 800 Tour I believe.
If you started playing badminton in 1996 you would know the classics of that time, I'm sure. The classics still hold today for the most part.

It probably also depends on what level you're at. Unless you plan to play excessively - average of at least 3 days a week, perhaps it would not be a wise decision to buy some $300 CAD raquet when you are just returning.

Ah man the cab 20! Now that takes me back. Another thing i've noted is that the prices of rackets have gone down too?? I recall the top Yonex rackets easily cost £200 here. Anyone have any views on Ashaway and Fleet rackets?

I also have a Fleet Titanex 5000. I bought it whem I start to play badminton. Woven carbon fiber on the frame and shaft, it is a strong and stiff racket. Recently I restring it with bg-66 at 24 lbs. I find it is a powerful and quick racket. This is my main racket now. I also have the new FT(nano power) series from Fleet and I like it very much. The model I have is FT-500. The frame design is the same as yonex AT series. The FT-500 is for offensive player. The shaft is slim and 1 cm longer on the shaft(the yonex AT-800 is 1 cm longer on the handle). The power of this racket is very good and very easy to produce. The most importance, it is very stable. I think it can match yonex racket but more easy to playing with...... :)

Since you are from England I'd suggest you take a look at the offer pwp.com have on Forza Titanium 10. I just bought from them since it's half the price of what they cost in Sweden. Must say I think they are equal/better than MP99 in almost every way, just a little less powerful.
