Hi Jonas,
after the Mens Doubles Bronze medal match between Jens/Martin & Eng/Flandy I saw the players were hitting shuttles into the crowd, and that Lars and yourself joined in (or started it).
Was that something you did regularly, or just after that match?

I noticed this done at the Commonwealth games as well, it could happen all the time but we'd never get to see it because of the TV stations stopping coverage after the last point is scored. :(

that's very cool. nice to involve the crowd in tournaments. we do see a lot of players bowing/thanking the crowd for the support after winning their match. it is great for both the players and the crowd as now the supporter knows that the players appreciate their cheering and will strength the connection between players and supporters in the long run.

i say hitting shuttles into the crowd is nice too! i suggest JR steal/take a few tubes and just whack them into the crowd at the end of a winning match. tennis players do that all the time!

It would be really nice if you could just sign your initial (like "JR", which is not hard to write at all) on the shuttle corks, and then hit them to the crowd......

People would love it! :)

Lars and I were asked to hit shuttles into the crowd by the organizers and of course we did so. I also think it´s a good idea to get more involved with the crowd during tournaments.

We also had a picture with the olympic mascot wearing vikinghelmets. A both fun and exciting picture. Have any of you seen it??

Kind Regards

Jonas
