There are several Philly area places to play.

I play every Saturday night (7-9pm summer, 6.30 - 9.30pm rest of the year) with a club that uses the Montgomery County College gym in Blue Bell, PA.

Please see this link to check out the other locations. http://pa.usbadminton.net/

You are welcome to join us. I am also helping the Lansdale YMCA set up their badminton program which will start on Sept. 9th 2005.

We have quite a few places that you can play at depending on where would be the most convenient. Here are two locations; in Lansdale, PA at the North Penn YMCA Friday evenings (5.15pm - 7.45pm) and Montgomery Community County College Saturday evenings (6.30pm - 9.30pm) clubs.

The contact person is Adrian Smith. However, i don't remember his email, but I do know they play Monday's and Wednesday's from 8-10 (I think that's right, but i'm not sure because I haven't been there since Dec.)

Thanks katalio. Have you tried playing there? How much do they charge $$ each player. Do they have intermediate level players there? I consider my level of playing as a bit higher than newbie.

Hi there,

Yes, I've played there every week during the fall term; however, my load of school work prevented me from going during the second term. I believe its' around 30-40 dollars per term, but I was on a student discount, so I'm not sure. Most of the people that goes there know what they are doing, I would say they are better than average for sure with some more in the higher level. I'm not sure when the term will end, but you can actually go there during Wednesday night and check it out!

If you have further question, email me at katalio@yahoo.com
I will be glad to help you as much as I can.

Hey Lutin, Check out Main line badminton club in this address
300 Airdale Rd, Bryn Mawr, PA, 19010-1646.

We play mondays and thursdays 8 - 10 pm, the standard is pretty good there, with 2-3 very good players and lots of above intermediate players.

I'm from Philadelphia as well... Is there any place actually IN Philadelphia for playing badminton, rather than the suburb areas? I'm closer toward Center City areas.

In philly, drexel has a club so does upenn, but dont know if they allow non students to play theere, your best bets are bryn athyn and bryn mawr.
