I try my best to eat healthy. Mainly fruits and bannanas. But sometimes I occasionally get the urge to eat some french fries :)

I try to eat heathly, but sometimes with training and work (or other committments) I will get slack eg eat something that ill regret later. I think leading up to a tournament is a very important time to start eating, hydrating well, and making sure your combining this with enough sleep. I cant always eat as healthy as I want to but I would still class myself in the 'healthy' category:D

Sigh. :( I always wonder why unhealthy foods always taste good - steaks, fries, lobsters, shimps, ... When I was young, I didn't care at all. Now at middle-age, I'm getting closer to the other end, I want to live longer, I have to cut down these unhealthy foods to less than once a week. :(

yes

but it depends on how you define healthy.

longevity standpoint:
low caloric intake
high in veggies, fruits, and medium white meat, low in grains

body composition standpoint:
high caloric intake
high in complex grains, red and white meat, medium veggies, low in fruits

and there's there the
organic view
the traditional pyramid view
etc
etc

I actually avoid fries because I don't like them. However, I'll have it like once a month.

Sometimes when I buy cookies, I end up eating half a pack at once. Not terribly healthy. But that was only when they were on sale, $2 for a box for Oreos.

Usually I eat stir-fried food with steam rice. Should be "reasonably" healthy..I don't eat deep fried stuff that much.

I think steaks are not unhealthy, provided you don't eat the fat.

hmm, that is a loaded (of calories) question ;)
well, i wouldnt say i hate pizzas, chilli dogs, hamburgers, milkshakes, fries, pops, the quintessence of american diet. It depends how they were made and what ingredients used and my state of hunger at the time versus other alternatives available to me. (picky me  )

BBQ duck and roast pork aren't junk food really. Just don't eat the fat as much.

hey actually...french fries have potatoes in them, a better source of calcuim, potassuim, and other good stuff for your health than a bananna.

...but then theres the fat

You can always steam the potatoes and mix with some herbs. Tastes like heaven. But not all potatoes are created equal. In fact all potatoes except one have very high glyvemic index, which is bad. If you must have potatoes, then buy, cook and eat only "New potatoes". They are rather small and expensive, but they are to all the other potatoes what "Basmati" rice is to all other rice, in health and absolute taste. :D

I have confidence that the chicken, cow, vegetable and fruits I eat are in healthy condition before and after they are served!:)

I think the term we're talking about is "health" food.

Yes, grains contain calories too. So, BRL is saying if you want to longer cut down on calories. Essentially one has to stay on the verge of starvation to live longer. Talk about ultra-low s*x drive

Cooler boy... seafood is the manna of the sea... white promfrets, sharks, anchovies, garoupa, jellyfish, crabs, prawns, barracuda, tuna... oooooh...

Kinda hard not developing a liking for seafood when one lives a km away from the sea... well, back then anyway. Now that I'm in KL, seafood is umm... not quite desirable.

ps - FEND, I am from Miri. :)
