hey, didn't korea enter as a single united delegation, at least in the opening ceremony....how come they still split up when it comes to competition and the medal tables?

i think all they did was walk together. the flags that they used are still separate (two sided) so they are still separate nations.

Now, maybe the other two seperated Asian sides also should do the same and start rebuilding the relationship from there???

It was mentioned in the opening ceremony that they were walking together and it was a very well received action since they got a very good reception from the crowd as did the Iraqi delegation.

Well, luckily, HK is at least legally, part of PRC and would have to play the Chinese national anthem if they won a gold.

Chinese Taipei is still considered a seperate entity; this time in Athens when they won 2 Taekwondo golds the flag that was used was an Olympic spirit flag with the five rings and a star, and the national anthem used was the olympic anthem.

I guess at this point it's only sufficient to be connected at heart.
