Is the colour the primary factor in your selection or the performance more important? You seem to be listing two things here. Personally I'd choose the string that I like to play with the best, and then look at the colour after. Afterall the colour of the string really has no impact on any aspect of your game.
charzord 10-16-2004, 09:34 PM I think Arcos perfers colour over quality, as he put that in his title. Anyways, I personally perfer looks over quality :D, that why I'm probably the only one who uses a green overgrip. It's probably the least durable, btu it looks so damn nice :p
Arcos 10-16-2004, 10:06 PM haha, i'm trying to find good strings with the colours i like, but if there aren't such strings, i guess i'm stuck with white bg85s :)

There are no yellow BG 85s? I am on whites myself, and my backup setup has BG80s that are yellow. Good luck with your search though.
FEND. 10-17-2004, 01:14 AM BG 66 has a slightly reddish colour. Very slight not noticeable red. It's like red mixed with a load of white paint. So it's like reddish milky colour.

White, Black, Red, Pink, Blue, and Yellow.
Others.....varies from countries to countries

I wish there were yellow BG85s, I've been trying to find them but no luck, it seems that the only colors for the BG85 are White, Blue, and Lavender
Arcos 10-17-2004, 09:28 PM not much luck in finding my prefered colours it seems
oh well
bluejeff 10-17-2004, 09:31 PM Yonex are still releasing more colors every year (as seen on the catalog), so just wait, perhaps we will have more colors next year. :)

jgleasons 10-19-2004, 02:19 AM I've been playing with strings from CY Badminton, and I've found them to be completely satisfactory. CY just increased his color selection, and now offers bright orange strings.

You can also go to cybadminton.com and enter the strings section of his website. I've played with both the CY BP-60 and the BP-68 and I think they're both great. I actually like the feel of them better than a racquet that was strung with Yonex BG-66 that I played with, but I don't think that string-job was a very good one, so I don't know if it's a fair comparison. One of my racquets is currently strung with CY BP60, and two of my racquets are currently strung with CY BP68, and I would recommend either.
CY's prices are reasonable enough, you can always buy a few and try them. If you disagree with me, you haven't lost big bucks.
By the way, I don't work for CY or sell his gear or anything. I have just bought some racquets, strings and grips from him over the past six months, He has been very nice to work with and I have been totally satisfied with the quality of his equipment. I figure it's good to pass the word along so others can benefit too.
jgleasons 10-19-2004, 02:24 AM Dear Arcos,
I've sent you a PM.
