yup, queensway shopping centre has a wide variety but for those high end Yonex shoes, I think it is only available in 10n10 , sunrise and maybe those specialised stores in those sports hall like tampines etc.
Can always try Gosen , Mizuno , Asics shoes. Think they are not that bad.

ya this should be the shop because i dont think there are anymore badminton shops in bras basah.the racket prices are reasonable and cheap too.but i prefer to get the proace and apacs brand from them rather than the yonex.

Cen,
i think you can go to the 10n10 to check out.Although queensway has a large number of rackets.i felt they were over pricing it, as my friend bought a racket exactly the same model in sportslink for nearly half the price.i feel that the 10n10 shop has a variety of rackets at reasonably cheap prices.if im not wron they are havin a offer now for an Apacs armor power 880 offensive clone of yonex armortech offensive 800 for only $99 with a bag and grip and of course string with your preferable tension.

It is at Far East Plaze in Orchard, extreme left if I am not wrong, 2nd level. It is something like a Yonex showroom for all their products. Shirts, shoes, rackets everything. The equipment there are extremely expensive and not worth your money in my opinion.

I saw 1 pair at the 2nd level, corner shop which sells rackets. A indian or Malay store owner. Sells mostly badminton stuff. The Gosen shoe I bought cost $75. Alternatively, I was told that the shop at the Singapore Badminton Hall sells Gosen shoes too.

I have gotten a pair of proace shoes from the 10n10 shop. It cost around 55 i think. The grip is pretty good and its pretty durable too. Soles are thin so that there are less chances of u twisting ur ankles.
Main problem with the shoes is that i feel that the soles are abit too hard. Doesn't have the soft rubber sound when u walk, more like those hard rubber type.

try to get a shoe that fits u just nice. the proace shoes that i'm using is pretty decent, but it may not fit u. try going down to the shops and try out different shoes that are around ur budget.
As a student, i personally feel that there is not much point in getting a pair of expensive shoes, since they get torn up pretty fast if u play often ;)

Directly opposite tamp sport hall, cross the traffic light and u will see "Jean Yip" walk further down and u will see it.
If the above doesnt help u can find a red office building call "telepark" , just walk the perimeter of the building

if you have problem getting shoes and rackets, check this website : http://www.adpost.com/sg/sports_games/Badminton/ They advertised used and new goods as well.
Has anyone tried the The Sports Factory Outlet at Marina Bay?

Yonex may have good equipments for rackets, shuttlecocks and others but I don't think I am happy with their shoes. This is my second pair and again it's causing problem. The first pair didn't last so long (under 10 times uses I think). And the current pair giving some irritation to my toes--confirmed by another friend of the same issue.
My heart is still go for ASICS. I use the court shoes also for squash and they last for so long and more comfortable. I am going back to Asics for sure. Although it's easier to get asics shoes in most stores in Singapore (esp in Queensway shopping ctr), stores normally sell the running shoes. To get the court shoes, I normally go to its direct outlet at Marina Bay shopping ctr.
Price is slightly more expensive than Yonex, but with the comfort and long-lasting feature, it's MUCH MUCH worth it.

SHB89 comes in three colours: yellow, orange and silver (ladies)
http://www.mattshop.com.tw/YY-Shoes-SHB-89MG.asp

I stand to be corrected, the SHB89 (orange) was released in 2003 and the SHB89 (yellow) was released in 2004.
Unfortunately in Singapore we are getting the old 2003 stocks (the orange model). You could find the yellow model at 10n10 Bras Basah, who quoted me S$139 or at the Singapore Open Yonex booth going for S$149. Interestingly 10n10 claimed to have bought all the stocks for the yellow model.

Oh ya.. btw it is at whitesands sportslink.. at pasir ris ^^ ;)When Sportlink have such sale I alway "tarik" alittle cos every time the sizes are quite limited. I have not tried Slazenger but with alittle more you can get Gosen, entry level yonex etc. With alittle more u get newer stock and more sizes to choose from too.
So unless ur shoe size is not normal say very small or big, I suggest u don't count on it, but if you happen to walk pass can see see.
Alway i reckon they are tennis shoes not badminton...so quite heavy but will last you a lifetime.
