Hi,
Myself and a number of friends from work have just started up a regular badminton meet. Experience ranges from beginner to professional but all of us are having trouble with the lighting in the hall we play in, which is basically cream walls with very bright florecent lighting.

We play with white and yellow (nylon) shuttles at the minute, but are finding that we lose then in the lights a lot. I'm trying to find a stockist here in the UK that does decent coloured (eg, red, blue, purple, green) nylon shuttles.

From looking around the web a lot it seems Yonex and Rucanor do sell this type of thing, but I cannot find a reseller for them (in the UK or elsewhere!!). I did order some coloured shuttles from www.sport-thieme.com (http://www.sport-thieme.com/) but these turned out to be garden shuttles and so fell apart in about two minutes!!!

I would appreciate any help or suggestions as to where to purchase some decent coloured shuttles - if this is in the UK that would be even better.

Many Thanks,
Jeff Price

I've never seen any nylon shuttles in any colour other than white and yellow.
That doesn't mean there aren't any though.

It might be easier to find a different hall.
Alternatively, white shuttles and a can of spray paint...

Sorry, not much help.

Well, I have seen orange colour shuttle. They are made by Black Knight. Black Knight called it optic orange.

I think they have a dealer in Ireland.
I afraid that I have not seen other colour.

I'm able to order blue-green feather shuttles from Hi-Qua. I just put and order in for another 60 tubes, though I get mine via California, but they come straight form the factory in China. They fly pretty normal for having been dyed, though we pick one speed slower to account for this. Durability is pretty good too.
