Hey, I want to get coached in Lee's badminaton club, does anyone know who is the best coach? My understanding is coaching ability and playing ability is pretty much unrelated.

the best coach is the one who is able to best teach you and maximize your potential...

the best coach is the one who is able to best teach you and maximize your potential... yea of course, but then i was thinking some of them must be better than the others in terms of "teaching".
btw this is the list of coaches they have:

i know who the coaches are...
my point is, that their style of teaching may suit others and may not suit you... i can name a few players who weren't very successful with a coach, and then improved greatly under another...
so, consider just going randomly =P and if u think that you aren't using your potential, then talk to the coach, or switch coaches...

thx for the info. I was asking that because i dug up some old posts here http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9177&page=3&pp=18&highlight=coach
and looks like people are not very high on cherry. So I was trying to see if there's any one else i should avoid.
BTW, you know any other coaches other than those in Lees?

well... if u want to go within markham, another club would be mandarin.. they have quite a number of coaches...
if u want to go within toronto, there's granite, boulevard, b&r and some others.... all of which i'm sure have professional badminton coaches...

take it as a good learning experience... i love playing people who can massacre me.... i remember playing canada's national U16 (at the time) female champ.... good times.... but i got massacred...
and i tend to play much better when i play someone who can massacre me...which sucks, because i am going to lose anyway, but good training! =)
well... he is still u16... whereas raymond is 2nd year u19.... so quite an age difference there....
