Hi, usually if we hit the shuttle it will produce sound like 'POK!!' right? But when I hit the shuttle the sound is ' Tanggggg ' like a steel sound (I don't hit the frame) , I use I've just bought racket strung with BG66 at 27lbs (the stringer said its an old machinr so if I string it 25 it'll be very low tension), The racket brands isn't famous, I think you never heard " Toalson " brand don't you? so do you know what is the problem? is it to high tension?

I believe it's the combination of "high tension + thin string". You should not have worry about it. :)

Yup thats exactly right, my friend has a MP100 but he broke it yesterday.... he had it on 25lbs and Bg85, so when he Hits it sounds like he hit the frame, but he didn't -.-....

Really? I am using BG85@24 and it makes the usual *pok* sound. Seldom here *tanggggg* unless I really hit the frame.

thin string with high tension gives a metallic tang
fat strings with low tension give a pok sound ;)

So, should I change a new string with lower tension?

Why would you want to do such a thing? Because you don't like the sound?

If u don't like the feeling, or ur arm hurts (too high tension), then you might consider switch to lower tension. If just the sound, u will get used to it soon. ;)

I strung my MP-44 with BG68Ti@20lbs. and it makes the same sound. Maybe it's the .68mm thinness of the BG68Ti, or the Ti coating that gives the steel sound, or simply what LazyBuddy said, Highntension with thin string, though I don't think 20 lbs. is that high a tension. Anyways it's not a problem, I've played with the string making that sound, you get used to it.

hrm, i should elaborate :p

it has the higher pitched "tang" or "ting" noise, when i hit it softly.
its VERY noticable on serves.
on smashes, hard drives, or clears, it has the usual "pok" noise. however, it seems a bit higher pitched and sharper/crisper than when i had thicker strings.

NO, I don't have problem with the feels, tension, just the 'Tanggg' sounds like a bad cheap racket :)

I guess, according to chickenpoodle, you haven't hit hard enough to get the *POK* sound:p.
