It seems this is not a very popular racquet, although I did find a couple of reviews for it, so....after playing with it for a bit longer now, how do you find the racquet now?

And if anyone else has got it but not posted about it, please give your comments as well.

And has it broken yet :p ?

cheers,

i tried it at the singapore open.. seems that someone stole it after that, anyway, i find it quite light compared to the 77 and 99. Also, its quite easy to control the shots and good for netplay. yupp.

It's a great racquet...very quick and flexy...but more for an intermediate player...most people prefer head-heavy stiff racquets over the flexy head-light racquet MP66 is...It's still a good racquet in my opinion..just less prefered...

damn...that means a novice player like me will have difficulty with it :p
heh...i wouldn't consider myself anywhere above inter so i guess i could use the extra flex.....

Bought the MP66 and MP44 (which has similar features to MP66 except UltimumTi is missing) and sold them to my friends within 3 months. Could not get used to these head light rackets which were way too flexible. The rackets came alive only after increasing the tension from 22lbs to 25lbs (electronically restrung). IMO its quite easy to use but personally I had problems smashing and driving with the MP66 and switched to MP88.

yes that's a reason why it's not very popular...a beginner who can't always hit the sweet spot and without perfect form will probably want the most power, or else things like backcourt to backcourt clears would be very hard for them...the headlight really doesn't make it easier... that's why i say its intermediate, once you have the proper technique, but still feel more comfortable with something flexy, but also want a really quick agile racquet, then this is the one...

:D

initially not used to the long shaft especially low serve, but no everything is fine.
Many people assume head light = no smashing power, but it was not true for MP66, u can feel the flex shaft when smash and it does improve my smashing.
Stroke from back court to back court is the most advantage of this racquet.
String = Yonex BG65, 28 lbs
Weak point will be do pushing to the net. i am not sure its is because of long shaft or flex shaft causing it.

more than 30 times i have play using it, hit my partner racquet 2-3 times, (not very hard ) seems ok.:o

My next target will be Ti10, hopefully!!!:p

I bought the MP66 about 6 months ago & I can summarize my experience

with that racquet in 2 words. “IT SUCKS”.

The head weight is so light it is hard to get a good powered smash. BUT the control in drop shots & net play are definitely there. So, make a judicious choice if you are planning to buy MP66.

It is a power generating light flexible defensive racket, oh and its light as you would expect it to be.
