Does anyone have the same question?
I had a chance to go to HK last year and the rackets there are relatively cheap.
I bought my Iso 900 SX and SR for around $90 (HK$700) each.
Most of the top of the line rackets are around $100 like Ti10, Aerotus 110, Iso 900 and Cab 22 SP.
I am not saying that the retailers here are hungry for money, I just want to know if there is any particular reason why the price of badminton equipment here are almost doubled compare to East Asia.

Prices are high because most companies has to
cover operations/marketing costs, which is very
expensive in the US. Likewise, it's also to cover
warranty related problems, e.g. shipping cost back
and fort both to the manufacturers and customers.
In Asia, there is no warranty for badminton rackets
such as Yonex and other brands. (So far that I know of)
Likewise, Carlton do not offer warranty on their
line of rackets. Most squash, a stronger and bulkier
racket compared to badminton (slim, thin, and fragile)
design, do not offer warranty also.
We are planning to implement such type of sales.
You will start seeing this type of sales on our
new products such as the new Winex series, T-10,
T-20, Kevlar 888, Boron 200, and some of the new
line of Yang-Yang rackets.
The cost of the Winex T-10 will be around $110
without any warranty including stringing with
Yonex BG-65 + FREE shipping. A little high
because of import and duty tax imposed by
US Customs. But not as high as Yonex Ti-10.
Oh well, hope this will help increase the
popularity of badminton.
: Does anyone have the same question?
: I had a chance to go to HK last year and the rackets there are relatively cheap.
: I bought my Iso 900 SX and SR for around $90 (HK$700) each.
: Most of the top of the line rackets are around $100 like Ti10, Aerotus 110, Iso 900 and Cab 22 SP.
: I am not saying that the retailers here are hungry for money, I just want to know if there is any particular reason why the price of badminton equipment here are almost doubled compare to East Asia.
