cooler 02-03-2005, 04:30 PM hahaha, i like the nic, bird droppings.
it tells your opponents how deadly are your drop shots - like mini stink bombs LOL
bluejeff 02-03-2005, 07:38 PM No offense, but those chips don't look like "minor" to me (plus the paint chip on the cone) .

Dave18 02-03-2005, 08:39 PM Yea, those paint chips are quite major.
Sorry to go kind of off topic. But is japan's MP90 the same thing as MP99? :o

yes it is... just different name for some reason...
HLHHH 02-04-2005, 02:36 AM yes it is... just different name for some reason...Well.. I guess I wouldn't need to explain what a JP racket is since there are tons of discussion on such topic. I brought my racket in Japan, and I am pretty sure I paid almost $200 dollars for it. Below is a link that gives you an idea how much JP rackets are sell for. However, the paint on the cone peeled off by some reason I can't explain and it happens on some of my other rackets. The paint chip on the top, in my opinion, aren't that serious as far as the frame isn't damaged. Keep in mind, you are paying only half of the price on such racket that can't be brought elsewhere except Japan and other limited resources.

Being someone who deals with paint, and base on what the picture shows. The paint chip on the cone doesn't appear to be impact related. The top of the cone where it meets the shaft takes a lot of pressure everytime you clear or smash. If the paint was not correctly applied at the factory, the paint will crack, usually on the side. Once it cracks, depending on how the cone was prepared before painting and type of paint used, you might find that the paint will peel off easily or not at all. I rather have it peel off than to see a crack on the paint which may look like the cone is cracked to some people. That being said, the other chips does look pretty severe. What did you do? Practice picking up birdies? :D

Thanks for explaining how the paint came out on the cone :D I was testing my new stringing job and some beginners you just don't understand why they always, I mean always, running around the court and take the shot that's like miles away from them. The racket end up kissing another racket.
