I think someone should tell the story about bob and raj's matches on saturday...
well in short, bob and his partner may were playing a local US pair, Trishna and another girl from the indonesian national team, and they had won the first game. 2nd game, Bob cramped up in both his calves, and they tossed the 2nd game. In the break, he received treatment, which didn't help that much, as he cramped in his thighs and hamstrings as well. They went on to lose. Raju played his singles against Eric Pang, a guy from the Netherlands, and lost. But they still had to play their doubles, against canada. It was a crazy match...bob's legs were taped up everywhere, and raj's back had been stiff and sore since korea open. A few points before match point, Raj's thigh started cramping, but it went away...until match point, it cramped up, and he started hoping around on one leg screaming OW, until bob put it away with a smash. Then he fell down, and his back cramped, and his quads, thighs, and calves cramped. The paramedics eventually had to take him to the hospital for fluids when the cramps didn't go away after 40 minutes. I think the problem was that they each had already played 2-3 tough matches before their games where they cramped. In the final, they had a walkover to tony and howard, after the tournament desk wouldn't allow tony and howard to forfeit to bob and raju.
