Fake racket; check my list of fake racket sellers in "ebay watch" thread.

How much of difference?
If you want to sell it afterwards,
You can get around $80-120 USD if your racket is genuine;)
You will get around $5 USD if your racket is fake
(Assuming racket is in good condition)

And you really dont need the shatty attitude about it, its like ur makin light of me gettin screwed over...I am not joking. Fakes are sold in China for $12 USD per racket. Considering its cost, when you try to sell it later on, you will NOT get more than $10 for that.

The ebay watch thread is at the market's section. One of the top threads in Red.

Attitude? I am just telling you the truth. Ask anyone here in the forum about me, I always take genuine/fake racket things seriously. If you can't handle the truth, why ask? This is the real differences in numbers between the genuine racket and the fake racket. The value differs a lot.

Difference in rackets? For fake rackets, you will have no warranty and there is no guarantee in quality. So, you might break it as soon as in 1 hour (it's normal for fakes) and there is no way to get a new one back since Yonex will not honor the warranty.

By the way, don't forget to give him a Negative feedback point and indicate he is selling fakes. So, other future buyers won't be trapped by him!:)

Seems like he already had a negative feedback on Jan 11, 2005 stating the buyer recieved a fake. So please, always read the feedbacks before bidding.

There're quite a few selections from the local stores in Vancouver. Perhaps you could give them a call to see if they're willing to ship to Kelowna.

1. Tads Sporting Goods
2. Rackets and Runners.
3. ClearOne
4. FlexPro
5. Abbies.

There's a thread somewhere with all their contact numbers.

Also, the badminton clubs like VRC has an in-house store that sells shoes, rackets, re-stringing that have racket selections as well.

Good luck.

It's normal for a US/CAN based seller doing the business, but shipping stuff from Asia. He either has a business partner / warehouse (business) there, or simply having buddies or family members helping out.

Therefore, simply using the "location" to identify whether a racket is real or not, is not accurate. I know there are fake sellers doing this, but some reputable ebayers also do so. Nothing wrong with this. ;)

I have checked the website of Yonex Japan to see whether there is any AT400. You are right that there is no AT400 in existence.

the only Ats released in japan have been the 700 and 800s. So don't think because its not on the yonex Japan site that it doesn't exist. AT500 for example, no where to be found in Japan.

also dan,

for buying cheap, authentic stuff from China, www.bbesports.com is a good place.

Dude, I don't have anything in particular against u in person, however, I don't think Tad's is too wrong in this case. If the store is closed, the owner has the rights to say, "we are closed..." Imagine if u own a business, and u worked like 12 hrs per day already, do u want to pick up more phone calls after the store is closed??? To put things to extreme, lucky u did not call like 1am, if so, i won't be surprised that most ppl will start to curse.

Hey Dan,

It's not that hard to say no to a sale, especially after a long day. Well, at least now you know that they close at 6pm:D. Dave is not connected with Tad's. Some of us Vancouver BF'ers frequent the store quite abit as it certainly offers the most competitive pricing on its products locally.

BTW, you do owe MarkinJapan an apology... you did accuse him of being a fake racquets dealer trying to rip you off. Re-read your reply to him and tell us again that you "never accually accused him".

Please be more thoughtful about your postings on the forum. It's read by many people and what you post might offend others. Anyway, welcome to BF and enjoy your stay:).

Please view something from both sides, not just from urself...

I tend to disagree. When you are running a retail establishment, you need to be courteous at all times. If the store is closed, then don't answer the phone. Or you can have a message stating the store's hours. If for some reason you do answer the phone when the store is closed, the least you could do is explain that the store is closed now and let the customer know what the store hours are. That's just good business.

I have checked the website of Yonex Japan to see whether there is any AT400. You are right that there is no AT400 in existence. the only Ats released in japan have been the 700 and 800s. So don't think because its not on the yonex Japan site that it doesn't exist. AT500 for example, no where to be found in Japan.

also dan,

for buying cheap, authentic stuff from China, www.bbesports.com (http://www.bbesports.com/) is a good place.Hi MarkinJapan,

Sorry that I forgot to mention in my post #9 that I also browsed the following web site from Yonex International

http://www.yonex.co.jp/intl/badminton/products/armortec.html

which shows the Armortec series: Armortec-800OF, Armortec-800DE, Armortec-700, Armortec-500 and Armortec-300.

Bluejeff is correct to say that there is no such thing as Armortec-400.

Cooler confirmed later that it is a Armortec-700.

OR, You have any other source of information that shows AT400 existed?

Ok, fine, I am not trying to start a war here. I just try to say:

1. The store closed at 6pm, but u phoned at 8pm. Of course, u r NOT messing around, but ur call was still the cause of the incident, agree? So, the owner told u, "we are not open now", i don't see anything wrong.

2. I am NOT trying to accuse anyone. However, we only listend to ur 1-side story. And Tad's owner did NOT get a chance to defend himself. Of course, maybe u r nice enough, maybe even already "smoothern" the wording in the conversation, but I can't just accept ur public accuse to a fairly reputable store, never to metion even ur own friend can confirm that.

3. Once u post, please stand by ur point, and try NOT to draw any conclusion, just because u r not happy, or try to be funny (i.e. MakeinJapan's case), or just THINK (i.e. think Dave is connected with Tad's). I am not saying u can't say anything, but dont let ur emotion or assumption take too much control over urself.

Ok, maybe I over reacted. However, I don't buy the idea "don't answer phone call after close". Please, how could he know this phone call is for business puspose, but not like from family, friend, etc? Of course, I agree with ur idea of improvement on message, etc.

Part of the reason that I try to defend Tad is, from most BFers' post, I can see it's a fairly reputable store. I don't want to just use 1 or 2 individuals' "1 side story", then jump into conclusion. :(

Heh! Tad's run by a trio (or was it duo, couldn't remember anymore:D) of cantankerous old fogeys. Naturally they don't take too kindly to afterhour calls, especially if they just about to leave the store:p. They're pretty cool once you get to know them, but until then, they'll more than likely to ignore you:p. Guess business must be running well for them to ignore customers:rolleyes:.

Try again, Dan. If you wanna avoid online fakers and try the regional retailers, Tad's got the best deals in the lower mainland... perhaps even BC. Your friend Lee knows what he's talking about when he recommended Tad's.

Just be gentle this time, K;)?
