New Cab-20 (black, silver, and red) 2. NS-7000 is considered as somewhat "doubles-offensive" racket. 3. BG-66 Sharp (new string, in 0.68mm thickness) Wai Shing 02-26-2005, 03:46 PM Wow, bluejeff you got a pic of that new cab20? Woven 02-26-2005, 04:02 PM will the new cab 20 have the same characteristic as the old one???? bluejeff 02-26-2005, 04:59 PM Wow, bluejeff you got a pic of that new cab20? Here you go, I don't know it's performance though. (might be just about the same, since it states the "new color" only) FEND. 02-26-2005, 05:54 PM Here you go, I don't know it's performance though. (might be just about the same, since it states the "new color" only) Hmm. *Better find a part time job now ;)* bluejeff 02-26-2005, 06:45 PM You can also see the new Cab20 in here: http://www.yonex.co.jp/badminton/products/racket/cab20.html Looks like just a color change :) (I think it's not bad) The new BG66-S is here (notice the thickness is 0.68mm) :) Wai Shing 02-26-2005, 08:50 PM Anyone know when the new cab20 will come out(as in month)? Same time as NS7000 in most countries? kwun 02-26-2005, 09:06 PM Here you go, I don't know it's performance though. (might be just about the same, since it states the "new color" only) whoa! i don't usually care too much about racket colors, but since cab20 is my favorite racket, i must say that the new color is very nice. it has a nice modern look, but at the same time, maintains the traditional cab look as well. very very nice! (sorry for off topic, just thought hitting the 10000 mark is quite a feat~;) ) LazyBuddy 02-26-2005, 11:15 PM Has the new 2005 equipment come out yet in your area? like ns7k, sbh99m or whatever According to my local dealer, the status for US market is the following: 1. SHB 98 is already discontinued. Dealers can no long get popular sizes for SHB98 any more. Once their stock is done, say good bye to this lightening fast shoes. 2. SHB99 should be avaiable by mid to late March. Not sure which version though, low cut or mid cut. 3. NS7k is already available. My dealer just ordered 2 for demo. ;) Chrispywu 02-27-2005, 12:06 AM Bintang (local court/proshop) said they already ordered new stuff and theyre ariving sometime this week... i cant wait. bluejeff 02-27-2005, 01:28 AM According to my local dealer, the status for US market is the following: 1. By the way, it looks like San Diego already got NS7000 (from the web) FEND. 02-27-2005, 04:42 AM Just wondering, do you guys reckon that the BG66 Sharp will be limited to Japan only or do you think it will be all around. Can't wait to try it!! takahira 02-28-2005, 12:03 AM You can also see the new Cab20 in here: http://www.yonex.co.jp/badminton/products/racket/cab20.html Looks like just a color change :) (I think it's not bad) The new BG66-S is here (notice the thickness is 0.68mm) :) the new BG66 sounds pretty good.... thanks jeff for the info.... the specs look better than the BG80 that I am using.... bluejeff 02-28-2005, 12:43 AM I am quite confused with the new BG66-S. Since the diameter increased to 0.68mm, I wonder why Yonex still call it BG66. Is it like BG66? Is it just BG66 with some mods? Or Perhaps Yonex ran out of numbers? (:p unlikely) We will find out more about the new stuff soon I guess :) Yogi 02-28-2005, 03:24 AM I suppose its like the Bg 65. Its 0.70mm and not 65 but for some weird reason they have been calling it Bg 65... So i think the 66s thus falls in line with all the confusion in the naming If you take the Bg 65 cover, its says Micron 65 and 0.70mm... jcl49 03-01-2005, 06:04 PM The new Cab20 seems to have some kind of MP technology looking at the pictures. Given this fact, I wonder what differentiates it from the Cab20MS. But hey, if it makes me play like Xia, I don't have any qualms. http://shop.cmj.ne.jp/bsmorita/index.php?bott=1&item_id=000000000000000085 jl kwun 03-01-2005, 07:26 PM The new Cab20 seems to have some kind of MP technology looking at the pictures. (:p unlikely) We will find out more about the new stuff soon I guess :) because it was derived from bg66, it's part of the 66 family. 99% of players don't read or care about the diameter or its makeup. calling it bg67 or bg68 may confuse buyers. ex. coke classic dont taste light coke light but they are sure both coke. kwun 03-01-2005, 07:27 PM Does that mean you'll get one for yourself? Or, it will soon be avaiable in US, too? bluejeff 03-02-2005, 12:09 AM bluejeff or anyone else, what is the approximate cost of this new cab20...it shouldn't be much more expensive than the normal cab20...right? That depends on which country you order from  bluejeff 03-02-2005, 12:10 AM Order from JP/CHN? Or, it will soon be avaiable in US, too? Order from Japan directly. I don't think it will be available in US, as the same as before with the purple version. kwun 03-02-2005, 12:24 AM i want to add two more observation about the cab20. first is that they are still saying Xia is using the cab20. Xia started using the AT700 for a little bit, not sure if that means he has switched back. second is that if Yonex is making a new color for the cab20 JP, it probably means the model will be around for a little while more. at least in JP. so if cab20 fans are desperate for one, JP is still an option. LazyBuddy 03-02-2005, 11:44 AM Order from Japan directly. I don't think it will be available in US, as the same as before with the purple version. Hmmm... US does have 23, 20ms and 30ms (thnx god :p ), why not 20??? LazyBuddy 03-02-2005, 11:45 AM I am thinking getting a pair of those new Cab20 in 3U4 this month(along with other stuff), let me know if you want to take the same boat :) (or airplane I should say :p) Once you check out the price, let me know, plz. Depend on the available models and price, I might share the same "boat / plane" with you. :p But I think I prefer 3ug5, though. Chrispywu 03-02-2005, 10:40 PM SweeT! New shoes came to bintang.. got them once they came out... Feels the same as the older one... but it looks cooler... LazyBuddy 03-02-2005, 10:48 PM SweeT! The reason I'm asking is to decide if I want to purchase an AT800 or wait for the NS7000 to be available here. Chrispywu 03-03-2005, 01:08 AM Looks like the SHB99 in US market is low cut version??? That is just waaay too much pressure (in the sense of performing like them) ;) Maybe its about time that Yonex opened a fashion show at some stage in Milan. Yonex Founded in 1946 by Japanese Minoru Yoneyama, Yonex has been synonymous to tennis stars Monica Seles and Martina Hingis. As a renowned tennis equipment supplier, the company began to develop badminton equipment in 1992 with its first isometric widebody badminton racquet. that's just wrong. Yonex started develop badminton equipment way before tennis. Wizbit 03-03-2005, 08:04 PM LOL as attractive as those models are, what's with their typical catalogue poses?? :p I like the aggressive pose of the one serving in red shorts :D what?!? that's just wrong. The performance is ok, as it's head light, the swing is quite easy and fast. I used it for some smash drills, and find the power is acceptable. However, i am NOT impressed with it's color. It looks very nice on the internet, but the actual item, hmmmmm.... I think the paint job remind me about some cheap toys... Sealman 03-08-2005, 01:42 AM Extracted from http://www.rapidrepair.biz/shop/index.htm http://www.rapidrepair.biz/shop/no_frames/images/yonex-clothing-peek/yonex-2.jpg http://www.rapidrepair.biz/shop/no_frames/images/yonex-clothing-peek/yonex-4.jpg http://www.rapidrepair.biz/shop/no_frames/images/yonex-clothing-peek/yonex-1.jpg http://www.rapidrepair.biz/shop/no_frames/images/yonex-clothing-peek/yonex-5.jpg http://www.rapidrepair.biz/shop/no_frames/images/yonex-clothing-peek/yonex-3.jpg http://www.rapidrepair.biz/shop/no_frames/images/yonex-clothing-peek/yonex-7.jpg http://www.rapidrepair.biz/shop/no_frames/images/yonex-clothing-peek/yonex-6.jpg http://www.rapidrepair.biz/shop/no_frames/images/yonex-clothing-peek/yonex-6-1.jpg jkusmanto 03-08-2005, 06:25 AM Extracted from http://www.rapidrepair.biz/shop/index.htm Is the shoes SHB-99 ?
