So its only $90 CDN to buy it from Luxis? Including shipping? aznricearoni 03-04-2005, 09:32 PM 555HKD ~ 90CDN not include shipping. I just got an email back from the La Fleche agent in Canada and it costs CDN$140 with strings and taxes included. You are mistaking the four black plastic bumps at the 4 bottom grommets near the throat end as the new grommet system. The new grommet system will not allow two strings to pass through the bottom grommet no. 7 and will have a bell-shaped grommet at the bottom grommet 6. aznricearoni 03-07-2005, 09:58 PM oh, my bad. will this have any effect on performance, or should i wait until the new grommets come out? bbeChina 03-07-2005, 10:30 PM There're some ti-500 and ti-600 rackets in BBEsports store. I'll message him and find out how much it'll cost for shipping and customs......hang on... Pete LSD 03-08-2005, 08:42 PM Hey Kitty! How do you like the LF-500 so far? And haven't seen you around VRC lately! :D Pete No....I bought it at Inskysports when I was on vacation in Hong Kong couple months ago. I believe the store owner is also a forum member here. I was at the club last night and played quite some mixed double games and I played my last game against Schroedingcat too! It was Wednesday night and you're not there??!!! Took me a lil' while to get used to the extra inch longer LF-500 racquet compared to my old racquet. I have the super lite version LF-500. I strung it at 22 lbs and it has a smaller than average sweet spot, but once I adjusted to the racquet, it's quite a powerful racquet! Next time when I see you at the club, you test it out and let me know what you think. Hmmm.....but my racquet looks real girly...not sure if you dare play with it....the frame is light purple, red strings and red grip! :p Kitty Hey Kitty! How do you like the LF-500 so far? I can probably save some money picking up the racquet here in Vancouver, too. Thank you for getting that information for me. Just got an e-mail back from Inskysport.....hmm.....the store owner quoted: " la fleche ti500 supper light....with yy string is HK$730-per pc. la fleche ti500 2U,or 3U........with yy string is HK$630-per pc. shipping and customs cost add HK$100- and four to seven day to vancouver. I ended up doing cardio and weights. I am still on the post injury rehab list. So, I can't play yet. TTT joined in later! He said your friend, Ray, played very well. Yeah, I will try out your racquet the next time. Coming on Sat? Pete Hello Pete! We just kept missing each other! "As to your question, the La Fleche Ti 500 is CDN$120 without strings if it were to be picked up in Burnaby, BC." Thanks CanuckBur for the heads up. I just got the different prices straightened out today from the canadian la fleche agent Ronnie, as I didn't want to get ripped off, paying too much for the same racquet. He sent me some pictures to clarify what I wasn't sure about. The La Fleche ti-500 (2U and 3U) is $120 with taxes included. This racquet is red and black in color, with the telescopic shaft. The quoted price of the $140 with tax and strings is for the Ti-500 (4U) super light version. This one is purple and white in color and has rubber bumpers. Now that I have that straighted out, I don't feel that I was quoted a higher price:D I've order a Ti-500 4u from them, can't want to try it.:) motakmo 05-23-2005, 09:45 PM Thanks CanuckBur for the heads up. I just thinking to get one, is it good as u expect? CanuckBur 05-26-2005, 09:08 PM I can answer your question. The first day when I tried it, it was about the same as my cab21 on the forehand and much more better in drives and backhand. I wasn't getting used to it so I sometimes cleared the birdie over the lines or my clears were too weak. The second day I really like it a lot. It is more powerful than my cab21 in all areas. I can easily hit a clear to the back. Cab21 is now my training racquet because it forces me to learn to hit a birdie accurately. The LF-500 SuperLight is my fun racquet or "lightsaber" :). smashtech 05-30-2005, 03:11 PM Hi smashtech! Have u brought the Ti-500 4u already? I just thinking to get one, is it good as u expect? Yes, I've had the Ti-500 4U for about a month now. Its a really powerful racquet, especially for clears and smashes. But it took me awhile to get used to the control for drops at the net because of its light weight. I think I might get one for my girlfriend too as she has used mine a few times and likes the weight and color a lot. hehe;) |
